Entertainment Weekly's list of Top 20 Villains

Post by ajmrowland »

Just so you know, Snow White's Evil Queen is No.15.

And Maleficent's taking the no.4 spot on the Top Ten poll, right below Voldemort, and above Hannibal Lecter.

I can't find the page on the site. I'll link it when I do.

To be honest, I can't believe Voldemort's on the lists now. He was an okay villain, but not a "great" one--not even within the Harry Potter series (that award would go to either Severus Snape or Dolores Umbridge). And Harry would be nowhere near the Heroes list at all.

Some of the villians that made the list were of no surprise to me (Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, The Joker, etc) but some (Mr Burns, Annie Wilkes, Voldemort) were kind of a shock to see on the list.

As for the Heroes list, again some were of no surprise (Indiana Jones, Han Solo, Spider-Man, Batman), but none of the heroes on the list took me by surprise as opposed to the villians.

The villains list lost it's credntials from me when Norman Bates only made #14. He should be at The Joker's position at least, who in term should be #1.

I wasn't surprised at Voldemort making the list, as he's even more evil than Darth Vader. Others did take me by surprised, but not too many. Annie Wilkins is really creepy, so I'm not surprised by her appearance, either.
