My Season 1 DVD hasn't arrived yet which kind of pisses me off since I wanted to watch it all before the season premiere on Wednesday (for me Thursday)

I have three episodes and the bonus features left on my Season One DVD.

I forgot how much I loved the Girth episode.

My friend invited me to see a movie with her tonight at 7, so I doubt I'll get to watch it until tomorrow night. :( So, please post any spoilers in white!

Did you all see the premiere?
I thought it was absolutely, freakin' brilliant and fantastic à la mode!!
The writing was as sharp as ever and our beloved characters are still the same. The murder mystery was great, and I was actually surprised when they revealed how the murder happened.
Olive and Lily are great together and the new revelations about Chuck made the story even more interesting than it already is.
Plus how the whole thing with Ned's father showing up will play out is going to be interesting and I guess hilarious as always.

I am soooo glad this show is back and I hope it gets to stick around for more seasons and will finally bring Bryan Fuller his well-deserved success.

It was awesome. It's weird watching the show on TV though. Before hand, I only saw it on DVD or on burned DVD from downloaded eps.... It seemed more like a really long movie.

But anyway, the show is great and Cheno was hilarious!!!

I love the development of Olive's character and how its going. I also think Ned shined in this episode too. You feel really bad for him. And Olive too, full of secrets that want to burst. And yes, Ned's past coming back, can't wait to see how that unfolds. It was awesome to see French Stewart too. They get a lot of people to do cameos on this show, its great! I think they should get Nathan Lane on the show sometime. He just seems to "fit"

I liked the episode, but it's not gonna be one of my favorites. I'm not a big fan of clowns :)
But there were some very cute scenes, like the end with Chuck and Ned starting fresh and flirting.
And I love Pigby and Olive, the nunnery scenes were hilarious ("Booze in the bible" )

I agree that the episode wasn't uber great, but I still enjoyed it. I think I didn't like it as much 'cause my TV was acting up....

(thinks this thread should be combined with the previous one...)

I'm watching Season 1 right now on DVD, and I discovered that Wonderfalls is from the same show creator. There is going to be a crossover in season 2 of PD, maybe around episode 6-8, I think.

Has anyone seen Wonderfalls? It seems kind of interesting from the package art and what I've read at IMDB, but beyond that, I know nothing.

Also, I see that Dead Like Me is ALSO from the same creator, and that one has been recommended to me on another forum. Has anyone seen that one?

Why would this be combined with the other thread, as they're discussing different seasons?

I have Wonderfalls on DVD and it is hands down one of the best shows I have ever seen (plus, Lee Pace stars in this one too).
It is absolutely hilarious, the characters might sometimes even be a bit quirkier than on Pushing Daisies and the writing is as amazing as PD's.
Caroline Dhavernas gives an amazing performance as Brown-graduate turned gift-shop clerk who happens to have inanimate things talk to her and make her follow their advice.
The special effects are very nicely done too and there also is some kind of closure to the show, so there are really no big cliffhangers.
I'd highly recommend at least renting Wonderfalls. It is not as colorful and polished as Daisies, but very charming and did I say hilarious.

I have seen like half an episode of Dead like me and it was nice, but I haven't seen enough to say much about it. The premise is very interesting though.

Becuase I figure a general Pushing Daisies thread would be better than one for each season... It's not getthing that many posts, and as people rewatch season 1 on DVD or Season 2 (and beyond?) on TV, they could just add to a single thread...

Or not... :P

So... After watching all of season 1 (except for the last episode,) here are some plot points that may pop up in season 2:

SPOILERS!!!

1. Ned told Chuck that he killed her dad (probably covered in episode 9 of season 1.)
2. Alfredo Aldarisio loves Olive, and she realizes it. (Ep. 8 )
3. Oscar Vibenius may discover Chuck's secret due to his sense of smell. (Ep. 7 ) - This may also be covered in ep. 9 of season 1.
4. Dilly Balsam murdered the health inspector that killed her brother. (Ep. 8 )

Well, #1 and #3 were covered in the last episode of S1 (I must have missed that one when it was broadcast,) but they still might pop up in season 2 some more...

Please, do me a favor!

Post by Dottie »

As you all know I am a big fan of the ABC series Pushing Daisies and I know some others on this forum watch this show as well.
Unfortunately, one of the sweetest, funniest, best acted and scripted series is on the verge of being cancelled.
So, to avoid loosing a real quality show I need your help:
Tonight the episode will air on whose Nielsen numbers ABC will decide if they order more episodes than the original 13-episode number.
So, you all in the US today, do me the favor and watch Pushing Daisies at 8/7c on ABC TONIGHT to save this one of a kind television wonder.
If Pushing Daisies gets enough viewers TONIGHT ABC might reconsider and order more episodes and the magic will continue!
Thanks!

P.S. If you could sign the petition as well, that would be nice:
http://www.petitiononline.com/daisies/petition.html

P.P.S: Mods, if you want to you can merge this thread tomorrow with one of the existing Pushing Daisies threads. I just wanted to make a separate thread for tonight, so that more people will click on it and hopefully watch. Thanks.
