I'm sure if anyone had the chance, they wouldn't actually harm her. Don't worry... Obviously, it's nothing personal, considering I'm sure she is a decent human being, but noone here would actually harm her, let alone kill her. MOVING ON...
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

lol, Albert...I'm sure Guam is nice, but I'm sure that Miley is happy in the U.S. :) Let's just let her be.

I agree with SofaKing- moving on...!

I've come to the realization that Hannah Montana isn't so bad, because I see some of her appeal. However, I've also come to the realization that I strongly dislike Miley Cyrus because she actually has a social life, while Hannah doesn't. I used to get aggravated because everyone would ask if they liked Miley or Hannah more, and honestly, they're the same person! But now I can say Hannah because she doesn't own a cell phone and can take pictures she shouldn't be with such a young fanbase. That's when things went sour for Miley, well in my world anyway.

I am upset that Disney probably won't release another seasoned box set except for Hannah, because I would LOVE to see Wizards of Waverly Place get that treatment. I think that show is HYSTERICAL, and I absolutely love Selena Gomez.
Disney on Broadway:
Beauty and the Beast - December 2, 2006
The Lion King - February 28, 2007 & February 16, 2008
The Little Mermaid - December 12, 2007, December 22, 2007 & January 7, 2009
Mary Poppins - February 1, 2009

Actually, if there do try to release another show after selling tons of Hannah Montana sets, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it was Wizards of Waverly Place. I'd get that one myself. I don't think I'd use the word "Hysterical" (the little brother really has some lines that make my eyes roll, as do the parents), but it's definitely one of the Disney Channel's best and I usually appreciate Selena Gomez (though sometimes her sassy attitude on the show gets old/annoying).

It's like with the DCOMs, they have totally forgotten about their earlier hits, like Zenon.
Yeah, that's what I feel too. Only the old DCOMs were any good, and they failed to release them on DVD! I did get the Halloweentown DVDs for my sisters for Christmas (maybe a little off-season?) but if Zenon ever gets released I'd buy them for myself

Of course, the transfer I took from the officially released VHS should suffice... just no menus or special features or anything.

Hannah Montana is the LAST thing I wanted Disney to release a complete season of
I, too, want stuff like Even Stevens, and their older animated series... back when Disney used to be good. I do like the fact that most of Gargoyles was put on DVD (a bit late though?) but I don't think there are that many other sets like that. If only they had TiVo/DVD recorders back in the 90s, you'd get the TV rips they have now.

That being said, I could make my own "season boxset" of the rerun shows (yes, I realize they wait until 3AM to show them, and why? Are they ASKING people to TiVo them?) but they'd have the usual Disney Channel logo and random interruptions...
I've also come to the realization that I strongly dislike Miley Cyrus because she actually has a social life, while Hannah doesn't.
See, that's one thing that always bothers me. Why is that people like Jekyll and Hyde are looked on as weirdos, but Miley/Hannah is perfectly acceptable? Isn't that exactly the same thing (without the drastic shift in personality) here? I mean first she changes her name to Miley, then makes an alter-ego Hannah Montana, then has the whole "best of both worlds" thing (which I so affectionately call "the worst of both worlds") and even tours as two people? What's up with that? Why isn't she seeing a psychologist about it? Seriously people, LOL

If I hadn't already seen every episode 12 million times I would probably buy the set. Though I would rather see Even Stevens and That's So Raven sets on my store shelves.

LOL that is funny!

Though I don't think Miley created a special potion to turn herself into Hannah and I am pretty sure she remembers everything she does as Hannah...or I could be wrong and she does need therapy...or I need therapy for putting so much thought into a comment that was obviously made for humor...

Not all of them. Ever try to sit through Ready to Run or Double Teamed after a good 4 or 5 years? Almost makes a crappy new DCOM like Return to Halloweentown look like Masterpiece Theatre.

Andy Kaufman did the same thing with his "Tony Clifton" persona and nobody questioned his mental state. ;)

Well of course there are some bad ones... But I don't think I've liked any of the DCOMs made in the last few years... the ones I've seen anyway. The Zenon series is my favorite and those are OLD.

And I realize Hannah doesn't have a special potion, I didn't mean that part... I meant the whole "having two personalities" thing. It just strikes me as odd and yet all the "teeny boppers" out there think it's cool. I'd hate to see what they become when they grow up  (Trust me, I have two younger sisters, ages 11 and 14, and all they do is watch Disney Channel for 6 or more hours a day... chances are they won't adapt in the real world very well once they get to college... since all Disney Channel ever shows is happily ever after endings)

Definitely not a set I'm interested in picking up, but I'm hoping that this is a sign that more of their TV series will find their way to season box sets.

But I'm not going to hold my breath for any official region one KP sets I've been dying to get my hands on. :P

For those interested in the extras, BBFC passed a few...

HANNAH MONTANA Video Feature
Classified 30 September, 2008 . Run Time 22m 38s

General Remarks

Full Frame,Additional material,Season 1,Disc 2

HANNAH MONTANA Video Feature
Classified 30 September, 2008 . Run Time 22m 6s

General Remarks

Full Frame,Additional material,Season 1,Disc 3,

HANNAH MONTANA - SEASON 1 DISC 4 BONUS Video Feature
Classified 30 September, 2008 . Run Time 29m 39s

00:07:03:15 ("BACK HOME AGAIN WITH MILEY")
00:22:35:05 ("THE IDOL SIDE OF ME")

It's likely that the extras passed for Discs 2 and 3 are the "Hannah Highlights" version of an episode, and that "The Idol Side of Me" on Disc 4 that is passed here is the HH version.

Strange that they're not carrying over anything that was on the volume releases. I guess so that people who bought them have a reason to keep them.

Has anyone bought this? I'm wondering about the packaging, coz I saw it here in Australia, and it's in this hardcover book style thingy, i thought it'd be the old style slipcover with DVDs inside. What is it like in the States?
