Just for record, Aladdin doesn't say anything bad. If you turn up the volume real loud at the part when Aladdin is on the balcony with Jasmine and Raja(About to go on the carpet for a magic carpet ride! :D )
You'll hear Aladdin say, "Down kitty--here, take off and go."
Most people hear something like, "Here, take off your clothes."
But I assure you that he did not say anything like that. This just goes to show that what you think is one thing in a movie, is probably something very different. The little mermaid tower? Puh-lease.

And the dust in the Lion King formed the letters "SFX", standing for the sound technology used in the movie, not "SEX" . . . just head on over to www.snopes.com and click on the appropriate links.

For the Aladdin scoop, go here: http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/aladdin.htm It's all explained and there's a sound clip.

For the priest in the Little Mermaid scoop, go here:
http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/minister.htm

For the Little Mermaid cover art scoop, go here:
http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/mermaid.htm#add

For the "sex" in the Lion King scoop, go here:
http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/lionking.htm

And finally, for the naked woman in The Rescuers scoop, go here (for our younger board members, don't pull this one up in school or anything, if at all  )
http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/rescuers.htm

It's all a lot of bunk, except for the Rescuers one (which is obviously true). None of the other stuff was put in there intentionally- not even for a few laughs or for adults only.

I do wonder if the new editions of Aladdin or Little Mermaid on DVD will have edited audio or video to change these? Was the SFX taken out of Lion King?

We change at all, the main subject of this post...

we alread comented about the "possible pornograffic issues" in disney movies, like the SFX or SEX in the lion king, the penis on the mermaid cover, or the naked womens in the rescuers movie, so, don´t make the subject so repetitive... it´s boring!

I totally agree. All it takes is one crank to say "I think there are subversive messages about that naughty sex thing in [insert movie here]" and all of a sudden, the movie is unfit for children.

Ok, granted - The Rescuers genuinely DID have porn in it, and that was the work of a few animators who I consider heroes. :P That aside, people are constantly looking for ways to "muddy the clean" as it were. So people ARE going to spot stuff that may or may not be there.

It is only in a puritanical society (such as the one that created these rumours) that people have a problem with sex anyways. I'm not saying that there should be porn in kids movies, but the frenzy that surrounds the merest suggestion of a sex-related reference in a Disney film leads to an environment where there is free reign to alter and edit a film based on the complaints of a single person.

We don't have complete copies of Saludos Amigos or Make Mine Music, nor do we have Song of the South at all on DVD, and I believe it is because of people accusing a priest's knee of being "pornographic" that Disney treads so carefully so as not to offend anytbody. This will just ultimately create a stagnant creative environment where movies that neither offend or please anybody will be made.

Anyways, that's my two cents. I'd get back on topic, but I don't think we will see the Little Mermaid art for another year.

Yes, I have always sead that those "finding" these sick things are the ones that needs help.

I don't dare to think of what kind of people that realy use their time to find such things. It's like they are looking for something dirty and jumps on the first thing they can find. This are the realy sick people out there.

I never understood how that kid spotted the SEX/SFX thing in The Lion King from the first place. It's a god damn dust! Who's bored enough to try to see what's there :!:

As for The Little Mermaid and the priest... I wouldn't say it's unrealistic that Disney animators would do such a thing but I sincerely believe it was his knees.
