Gargoyles Season Two Volume Two may not see daylight!!!!!

Yeah this is kind of old news but I don't think Disney would let Gargoyles end it's DVD run. I bought both Gargoyles Season 1 and Gargoyles Season 2 Volume 1 when they were release on the first day.

Hopefully Disney will decide to take out Gargoyles Season 2 Volume 2.
Gargoyles fan call Disney or e-mail them or even write letters telling them you want Gargoyles Season 2 Volume 2.

If Disney doesn't release the rest of the set then I'll be so sad.

That is too bad. I do not have any of the sets but I recall it being a good show. It's just silly that they don't have S2 Vol.2 coming since it was to have been Vol. 2!!! Oh did anyone read the new comic book written by Greg Weisman? Is that any good?

Gargoyles is one of the best Disney animated shows and should finish it's DVD run. Other wise it would be silly to have something called Volume 1 and with Volume 2 not release.
First Boy Meets World then Once and Again now Gargoyles what next no more Disney Animated releases like Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers.

Oh yead Disney did finish Lizzie McGuire DVD run either.
Oh yeah Disney can release The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, That's So Raven and Phil of the Future but went it's a old cult favorite like Gargoyles it's a no no.

I don't want to say this but Disney you let a big time Disney fan down.

But there is hope isn't there. If enough were sold, or the demand is there, they'd change their mind, and release the next set of Dvd's.

UD did enough with informing the world about Gargoyles and it kind of didn't work.

Somehow, Gargoyles got screwed on DVD... something which I haven't seen happen very often, especially with shows like this. It was the stupid idea people got in their heads about the second set being too expensive or something, compared to the first... well DUH... the second had many more episodes and probably better bonus content... what do you expect?

If there's a company that can afford "to loose money" is Disney. I mean it's not like Gargoyles is the only thing Disney has for sale.

Plus, they don't keep on releasing the series but actually re-release movies that most people are not taht fond of: Robin Hood, Fox and the Hound, The Sword in the Stone...


What about other companies that actually have money to loose but keep on with their releases? Like the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? I mean, I'm sure they're selling well but I don't believe they sell THAT much. And yet... they keep coming.

A better comparison is Warner Bros. recent Freakazoid release. That was a series with a very small fanbase, yet it even got some nice bonus features on its new DVD release!

I'm sorry, but I only blame Greg (the shows creator) for this. He was a fool to split the second season into volumes. They gave him a choice, and he made the wrong one, given the crap publicity Disney gives most of its animated series. He only barely got these DVDs released and instead of getting them all out when he had the chance, he let a personal preference get in the way. He even said he wanted it to be three volumes originally, leaving the season finale as a seperate set. I want these DVDs as bad as the next person, but he's the one to blame for this. He shot himself in the foot.

I don't believe Greg had the word of God at Disney on that decision. The split was decided because otherwise the last season would be a far higher price than the first. And DISNEY, didn't think it would sell as much if it was in one set at a higher price, as opposed to two sets at lower prices. Greg wasn't the one who made the major decision. He weighed in...Disney made the final decision.

Greg did his BEST. He's been pushing Gargoyles all the way. A lot of blame goes to Disney itself for a not advertising this AT ALL. And to consumers who just didn't care enough to buy it either...because they didn't know about it. Pretty much every big fan has both seasons at this point. But the fan base wasn't apparently enough for Disney to release the second part.

Actually, I'm a huge fan, but I don't own the second season (p.1) yet. When it was available, I just didn't have the money (it was still always twice as much as the first set everywhere I saw it for sale). Now that I could buy it, I can't find it anywhere locally (and I almost never shop online because I don't use credit cards).

I dont know why they wont release the last part of S2. Its basically a waste to the fans who bought the first volume just to be left with an incomplete season. The sales might not have been what they wanted it to be but thats Disneys fault. I rarely saw Gargoyles promoted in any way shape or form.

I got both Gargoyles box sets preowned at MovieStop and CD Warehouse. I paid less than $20 each. One of them, in fact, was free at MovieStop during a Buy 2 get 1 Free sale.

It's disappointing that BVHV still hasn't released the remainder of the series. Disney really didn't make much effort to promote either one, so it's their own fault they didn't sell as well as expected.

I mean, good grief--partnering with Gargoyles fans for a massive internet marketing campaign would've been my first suggestion if I were part of their marketing team. It's like BVHV thought the DVDs would sell themselves.

I had such bad experiences the couple of times I tried to buy used DVDs that I don't do it anymore, but a lot of the stores mentioned in these forums for good deals, both used and new, don't exist in my area. I basically have these stores to choose from:
Best Buy (2 going on a 3rd within reasonable driving distance)
Wal-Mart (at least 4 within reasonable driving distance)
Target (at least 4 within reasonable driving distance)
Circuit City (1)
Suncoast (1 at the mall, though it's on the other side of town)
Toys R Us (1)
Wallgreen's (several)
H.E.B. (a big supermarket, we have several but only 2 have major DVD sections)
Hastings (1)
Barnes and Noble (2)
And there's a Sam's Club, but I don't have a membership
Other places have just a handful of DVDs in their selection.

Anyways, yeah, I totally have to put this one on Disney, and they are ridiculously stingy about their library. With all the cheapo DVD releases out there that sell DVDs for a buck, and all the stuff that gets released that probably doesn't have much chance of selling well, this could hardly be a loss for Disney. I rarely take a side against the company, I think they take a lot of underserved heat, but sometimes I do, and their policy on TV show DVD releases is one of those times. They did the same with Lizzie McGuire, and being as in love with Hilary Duff as I am, I'm just as mad about that.

I have the first one, but they are extremely hard to come by in my area. There is one great comic shop, but I haven't seen SLG comics there very often. I picked up the first issues of their Disney titles there, except one (I forget which) that I had to order. After that, I was only able to find a couple more issues of Haunted Mansion (my favorite of there titles, I'm amazed they didn't do a Pirates of the Caribbean title). Anyway, it was all good stuff and I need to order the issues I've missed. I'm a longtime reader of Disney comics. Got heavily into them when I was a kid in the '80's with the duck comics and Mickey mouse.
