Batman [Begins] 2: 2 Villains

, but I love the idea of the Police having to go to Batman for help to stop a mobster murdering masked man and having said masked man turn out to be a woman from Bruce's past. Rachel Dawes can't be the only girl Bruce Wayne ever had real feelings for.

Forget Phantasm(good Animated movie but not need for live action). bring on Black Mask.

He fits the bill to things Nolan likes in Batman villains.

I think Nolan's pretty against using any villain who has some sort of other-worldy mutant abilities.

Which is a shame, in a way, because some of the most fascinating villains are in this category. Not because of their powers/abilities but, like Joker/etc., they just have interesting personalities.

Growing up watching Batman: The Animated Series, Mr. Freeze was always my favourite villain. He's tortured, in a relatable way, and he can be quite a sympathetic villain. He also has his moments where he's helped Batman. I'd love to see how Nolan would reinvent Freeze for a Batman Universe more grounded in realism, 'cuz Schumacher's farce of a movie (movies, really) did a disservice to the character; and every other character featured.

I think as long as they developed a moderately believable backstory (some kind of research accident that upset his metabolism and skewed his DNA; I dunno), left out any kind of energy-based "freezing ray", and didn't have him repeatedly say "chill" the way Arnold did... it may be possible to use him in a movie.

I watched this movie today and I am really sorry to say, I didn't find it amazing. I remember coming out of Batman Begins and loved it, but this one not so much. The first one I don't remember much about, but this one seemed so typical. Not saying that it was bad, there just wasn't anything new.

Maybe I was expecting too much I don't know, but the Joker felt like a Jack Sparrow with just a tweak of evilness. His performance was great don't get me wrong, but it was nothing to be jumping for joy about.

Hans Zimmer's score was alright as well. Joker's theme every time he became evil got on my nerves a bit though. It's way too eerie to listen to for more than a minute.

Every good movie I come out of, I always will want two things. With this movie, I didn't feel any one of them. First is the DVD; coming out of the theater I had no interest in wanting on DVD right away. Second, let's say Wall-e, I wanted to turn into a robot and fly across the room...but with Batman there was no urge to put on a bat suit and fly and be the character like other characters in other movies.

So all in all, good movie, but it wasn't "WHOA!"

Saw the movie. It was fantastic.

Only think i dislike was the city. I had that problem in Begins also. I prefer the art deco and grisly Gotham City of Batman and Batman Returns.

Other than that it was great.

Saw it last night, thought it was pretty good. They did a great job on introducing two-face.

The Joker ofcourse was funny as hell, gonna miss him.

I do hope they do another film featuring Catwoman as a minor villan (she fits in with the robberies Gotham has a problem with)

But I was hoping they could forget what happened, and hire a new actress. I love Halle Berry, but that was one of the worst superhero flicks I've ever seen, in my opinion.

I loved "Catwoman" and I really can't understand why it's so hated. Sure, it wasn't based on comics' Catwoman but it was a fun flick. My only gripe about it was Halle Berry playing Catwoman, simply because she already played Storm. But she was still great as Catwoman.

I have soft spot for comic book films people and critics tend to hate: "Catwoman", "Supergirl", "X-Men: The Last Stand" (which I consider to be the best film in "X-Men" trilogy, or at least on par with "X2"), both "Fantastic Four" films... On the other hand, I despise some films critics like - "Superman Returns", "Hulk", "Batman".

Anyway, back on topic: I'm going to see TDK tomorrow. I can't wait! I wasn't so crazy about BB when I first saw it, but it has grown on me. I still think "Batman: The Animated Series" and whole DC Animated Universe is waaaaay better than any of the live-action DC films. But we'll see, maybe TDK changes my mind.

I agree with you,mooky_7_sa,it's not the best superhero but I liked it and I think it's a good movie actually,it's not the Catwoman from Batman,I love the Fantastic Four but I loved the first film and hated Rise Of The Silver Surfer,it was just bad (The only good character where Reed,Sue and the Silver Surfer).
PeterPanFan-Maybe they can make another Batman with a new Catwoman and the original Catwoman insted of the one from the Catwoman film.

I really liked Catwoman. As others said, not the best superhero movie, but I really liked it all the same. It was nice to see an empowered woman who wasn't a goody-two-shoes.

Oh, sorry Ariel'sprince. I misread what you said before. I thought you meant that there could be two Catwoman in ONE film. I guess they could make a sequel, though I highly doubt they would considering the first one didn't do as well as expected.

I just saw TDK and it was amazing. It was beyond amazing, actually. The only thing I didn't like was the running time - it could have been slightly shorter.

I'm tempted to say it's my favorite Batman film, but I feel like I'd be betraying "Batman Returns". Maybe they can share the first spot .

Oh, and I hear all these stupid complaints how Maggie Gyllenhaal is ugly, but she's really cute. I'm kind of sad Katie Holmes didn't reprise her role (just for the sake of continuity) but Maggie did a terrific job - and they sort of resemble each other.

AMEN!!!!! I never understood the god-like love of the Jack's Joker. I was unimpressed. That's not to say he didn't do a good job, I just found him predictable....which is far from what the Joker is.

Where as Heath/Nolan's Joker, myself and the entire audience I sat with in the "magic trick" had people "OMG"ing. Among some of his other stunts. Like the masked hostages had me on the edge of my seat. Jack was always kinda ho-hum. Always for me. Heath and Nolan went more towards Frank Miller's Joker...in which you feel uncomfortable laughing alongside him.

Agreed, although I never really liked him.... What made Heath so great is that you couldn't believe it was really him playing that role. With Jack it was like, "oh look it's Jack with makeup wearing purple".
