The Little Mermaid III Discussion Vol. 2
Nymbus wrote:Thanks for the further info, Poody!
Few more questions:
1. If you've watched the "Marina Concept Art Scene" where she changes into the different outfits, is it any different from that or is it pretty much the same?
2. What references were made to the first film that made people laugh?
3. Is there a song at the end credits? And how does it end? (Last shot/final dialogue)
4. How does "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning" title show up on the screen?
Thanks again!
#1 - Can you post the link for it? I did watch it, but that was awhile ago.
#2 - The best one that I remember is during Marina's second song, she splashes up on a rock like in the first film and Scuttle flys by and I believe she either hits him or yell at him. Hilarious part!
#3 - There was an instrumental playing... I didn't stay til the end because I had other things to go to.... I figured I could save a couple things for the DVD.
#4 - There's a shot of the sea and it pretty much fades on and off.

That's good, I didn't really like how her clothes changed so fast. lol
Oh! One more question (if you don't mind, that is)...
Does anyone do the "Part of Your World" twirl-spin-thing? Like, during "Part of Your World", Ariel goes "...ready to stand" and then it's recreated for Melody in "For A Moment" when she goes "...this is more than my thoughts ever thought it would be". Is that in TLM3? If not, then how about the gasp for air, like Ariel did after her transformation, and then Melody after collecting shells?
(I don't think this has to be spoiler-tagged, right...? lol)

Man, I so wish I could just give you a hug right now, you are so sweet. Thank you.Poody wrote:Well you're welcome, again....BTW, your artwork on deviant art is awesome!
Anyway, I was reading the reviews for TLM3 on Amazon, and saw this one:
Now I haven't seen Footloose before but I read up about it, and this guy's not exaggerating, he brings up very valid points. Now I'm not pointing fingers at Disney but this does seem a little suspicious."Is it just me or does this not sound a lot like the movie Footloose? The main female character in that movie was named Ariel and her father was the one who outlawed music in the town. I loved both The Little Mermaid and Footloose movies, but I'm just thinking, "where is the originality Disney? Come on."

Thanks so much for sharing all the information, Poody
I've got some questions about the music:
Does Sebastian sing?
And who sing the songs:
- Athena's Song
- Just One Mistake
- I Remember (That's Ariel song, but is it longer than the preview?)
- I Will Sing
Are there more songs like the one in the preview?
- Jump in the Line (Shake Señora)

Does Sebastian sing? - I think only "Shake Señora"
- Athena's Song - She sings it!
It's a really short one though.
- Just One Mistake - That's Marina's song.
- I Remember - Yep, probably the longest song.
- I Will Sing - Hmmm ok.... I don't remember this one. It might be the short song they play near the end of the movie. None of the characters sing it though.
Are there more songs like the one in the preview? - There's a second Marina song, it might just be a reprise. Not sure. There's a short reprise of "I Remember" (she only sings those lines) I think that's it.
- Jump in the Line (Shake Señora) - Oh yeah.... they sing this twice. The second time Ariel and flounder join in.

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
Yes Vermin Friends, I do like it! At first I thought it was for Cinderella. Mice are sometimes thought of as vermin.
By the way, you asked an unanswered question I wanted to know, too!
Poody, you exceptionally wonderful kind boy, a question you didn't answer, and I don't need to write it in white (you don't either!). First, please take a look at these images I assembled:

Now the question: Is the mermaid that jumps out of the water in the last picture the mermaid that was in the three other pictures with the blue tail and brown hair, or our green-tailed red-haired Ariel? Or some other mermaid? Though I bet it's hard for you to remember!

Thank you so much for all the infoPoody wrote:She's in the opening scenes and a short scene in the middle. She does sing, but it's a pretty short lullaby. To my surprise, she isn't voiced by Jodi Benson! Or at least, she didn't sound like it. Hell, Jodi's great so maybe she changed her voice.Ariel1989 wrote:Is Ariel's mom in a lot of the film or just the beginning
And does she sing?
