I wish PHE would just release Alvin and the Chipminks in season or volume sets.

I'm just glad that Paramount is releasing anything related to the Chipmunks. I wonder how they got involved with this franchise anyway (even if it's TV, it's still a franchise). They've had their hooks in Nickelodeon since forever and MTV/VH1 and Comedy Central since the 90's. But when did Alvin and the Chipmunks ever belong to one of those channels? And with the Peanuts ties, we have to face facts that one of the saddest, most neglectful DVD companies in the business have a very illustrious animation legacy. I think it's only because of the Spongebob/Fairly OP phenomenon that now Paramount is unearthing AatChipmunks. At any rate, I sallute them for finally bringing that feature, The Chipmunk Adventure to DVD. I can't wait to see that again!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Alvinnn!!! Edition

Post by disneyboy20022 »

On September 9th.

No cover art or details are available...I wonder if this will be more than 6 episodes or if they are just bundling together the current one....

I guess time will tell for sure...
This morning Paramount Home Entertainment announced another new release, a 2-DVD collection called Alvin and the Chipmunks - The ALVINNN!!! Edition. Running 165 minutes, this release will come out on September 9th. Early info this morning shows full screen video, as originally broadcast, but shows that the audio has been enhanced to be in English 5.1 Surround Dolby Digital Stereo. No other details are available yet, other than the studio description below, but stay tuned for further info, and cover art, as soon as we have them for you!

It's Alvin in all of his mischievous glory! This 2- disc compilation includes Alvin's most hilarious, action-filled comedy adventures. It's time for side-splitting laughter with Alvin, whose antics take him from Hawaii to army boot camp, ski slopes and more! Even when he has the best of intentions, you'll understand when Dave cries, "ALVIIINNN!!!"

As much as I love Alvin and the Chipmunks I think I'm gonna have to pass on this, I'm really only interested in season sets.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.
