I don't think Ursula will be in the film, maybe it's because Ursula have a different story.
There's another book:
http://www.amazon.com/Little-Mermaid-So ... 237&sr=8-1
Isn't this werid that there's no cover yet? I mean, the Cinderella III book (I think it's the one that Disney Duster posted scans from) had a cover in October and the book was out in December, also we"re in May and the book is out in July.
Old Fish Tale-It's also like what Poody did with Enchanted :D.

Jim Dooley has finished recording his score for 'The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning'! Click here to visit his website! He's great! Jeanine Tesori wrote the songs! I can't wait for the soundtrack!

From IGN:

On August 26, 2008, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will release The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning on DVD. The made-for-DVD movie revolves around the original star, Ariel, and her adventures into the events of the first film in this prequel to The Little Mermaid. It will contain bonus materials and extra features, and the DVD will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $29.99.

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning DVD will feature the following bonus materials:

- Teaching Mermaids to Dance featurette
- Disney's Song Selection featurette
- The Little Mermaid Broadway Musical
- World Wide Water Web: wwww.Merconnect.sea bonus feature
- Deleted Scenes

I'm so pleased with the DVD cover and with the bonus features! Deleted scenes! Yay!

Why must we always see the

''disney movie rewards logo''

it feels so out of place, and if they must slap it onto everything then why not adjust the colourscheme to each cover, it's the least they could do!
:x

No music video? :o this is very strange,I think Disney said that there will be a clip and a set-top game.
Actually, the features sounds kinda lame exept the deleted scenes,I can't wait to see that :D.
Teaching Mermaids To Dance I guess is a game, something about water and an ad for the Broadway musical?.
And the Disney Movie Awards logo is great,it makes things official.

- Teaching Mermaids to Dance featurette
Featurette... That means feature, which means it's likely not a game, and since we know the movie is about music, and the titles seems to allude to that... it could be a Behind the Scenes feature!
- Disney's Song Selection featurette

No big deal.
- The Little Mermaid Broadway Musical
It is technically an advertisement, but hopefully it'll be something TLM fans can enjoy and learn about the musical.
- World Wide Water Web: wwww.Merconnect.sea bonus feature
Just a kiddie's game, I guess.
- Deleted Scenes
This holds the most promise! Has Disney ever had a Deleted Scenes featurette on any of their DTV releases?

Ohh.... I hope there's more!

If I remember correctly, that movie wasn't DTV. Wasn't it in theaters? I don't remember it ever being in theaters in the US, but wasn't it in Europe?

Hmm,good point, maybe it is a Behind The Scenes feature.
Yeah, this and Return To NeverLand are the only sequels with deleted scenes.
There's going to be a music video, right? I wonder what song they"ll use (Maybe something from the credits? like I Still Believe from Cinderella III?).

Meh. I'm only interested in the movie itself.

Making of featurettes are only interesting for the classics, not necessarily DTV movies imo. And deleted scenes to a movie I havent seen yet.... not that exciting

Anyhow, it definitely seems that the DTV series is going out with a bang. I'm sure it'll be as good as Cinderella III. It's just a shame they're ending it these already

I'm not sure what "Teaching Mermaids to Dance" is all about, but I'm almost sure it's not a behind the scenes feature. The film is about banning music and although dancing is related to music, it's most definitely not the same thing. I think this might be something cheesy where they have some person telling 5 year old girls how to dance like a "ballerina princess". But... I'm hoping I'm wrong.

I also agree with UmbrellaFish, the deleted scenes hold the most promise- hopefully they'll be legit, and MORE THAN ONE. lol Thanks for the update, Old Fish Tale! I'll edit the first page. ;)
