Sometimes, I'll turn one on and just listen to it while I'm doing work. It's just like a soundtrack, but I can click to watch it on my computer when I wish so I can catch the cooler scenes, like when Aurora touches the spinning wheel or whenever the Cheshire Cat is on screen.

I have a habit of watching them before I go to bed. I pick a different dvd everynight, (usaully) and fall asleep watching it. Often in the middle of the night I wake up and hit play again, sometimes over and over. Weird uh? I've always let my tv run at night, have since I was a kid. I don't always watch Disney movies though. Buy I say I at least watch one once or twice a week if not more....

You could say I'm a DISNEY INSOMNIAC!!!

I thought I'd resurrect this old thread as I was just wondering about this myself. Many here are so knowledgeable about the films and have a large collection of them. So, just how often do you watch them? I watch a Disney DVD once or twice a week, usually on the weekends. I like to mix it up a lot and watch ones I haven't seen in a while. At the moment, I have Peter Pan on.

Saturday - feature single feature-comedy or drama
Sunday- one episode from the Fantasyland series, one from Adventureland, one from tomorrowland and one from frontierland. And then I have my fix for the week!

Lady wrote:i know we all collect (hoard) disney movies, animated and live-action. But REALISTICALLY, how often do you actually watch the Disney movies you own? Honestly, i think i maybe watch one or two a month.

The funny thing is i end up watching the same handful over and over again and just about never watch others. i think i've only seen snow white once since i got the platinum and the same goes with the pixar releases. i probably watch beauty and the beast the most.
I would have to say the same. It's funny 'cause I'm so quick to get them and I love collecting them but I don't sit down and watch them as often as I would like.

It really depends. I can go months without watching any of them sometimes, and sometimes I end up watching two or three a day.

I tend to watch my top 5 DACs more often than anything. There are many DAC DVD's that I have only watched once or twice. And one that I've never watched at all (Peter Pan: Platinum Edition. Whenever I watch PP I watch it on the old Black Diamond Classic VHS. I don't know why...).

The DVD I've watched the most is probably The Little Mermaid. I viewed it every night for like two months after the PE came out, and many more times since.

For the past couple years, I've been watching a couple each week, and that's without repeating movies, although sometime this year I'll probably complete my collection of past releases of animated and live action movies and I'll only be adding new releases, so my viewing habits might slow down.

I'm like Widdi, I could go months without watching them, but some days I watch like three or four. :P

Eh, truthfully, I think I'm too lazy to mess with my DVD player. So I'm starved of Disney movies until I get a burst of energy. Kidding.

There's only a few Disney movies I can never get tired of. The Emperor's New Groove, Monsters, INC., and anything with Julie Andrews in it. So, the times when I watch other Disney movies is when I get in the mood. Yet Disney movies are so good, I always end up regretting not watching them more often.

I love watching Disney movies, they are a way of calming down for me. Watching Disney movies makes me so calm, and so happy. I watch about 5 movies a week. There will be times where I won't watch any, then I decide I haven't watched my movies in a long time, so I'll start at the top and make my way down to the bottom, by watching a different movie each night.

I agree, Jan<3. Disney movies calm me down, too. :) Disney has been a great way to escape from some of the work stresses.

I usually always have a Disney movie on lol. But I wouldn't say I actually sit down and watch it, most of the time it's background noise.

I'd say that I actually sit down and actually watch it about 2-3 times a week (and play a classic Disney cartoon before it of course)!

But I almost ALWAYS have either a movie or a Treaure playing 99% of the time, even if I'm not actually watching it.

It comes and goes with me. Sometimes I don't watch one for months and then I take on the whole Pixar row in a few days, for example...

I don't watch my DVDs too often (I've only watched Cars once since I got it) but every other weekend I watch a movie or an old Disney sing along tape... the sing along tapes cheer me up after a bad day at school but I haven't had a bad day in so long so... no sing alongs for a while! lol

I only watch mine if I'm in the mood. Otherwise, they're gathering dust on my shelf  .
