How often do you watch your Disney movies?
i know we all collect (hoard) disney movies, animated and live-action. But REALISTICALLY, how often do you actually watch the Disney movies you own? Honestly, i think i maybe watch one or two a month.
The funny thing is i end up watching the same handful over and over again and just about never watch others. i think i've only seen snow white once since i got the platinum and the same goes with the pixar releases. i probably watch beauty and the beast the most.

I watch them all quite often. Just today because I had a day off from college I watched the second half of "Robin Hood" (I caught the first half on the disney channel the other day), all the songs from "Aladdin" (I just fast fowarded my VHS through the rest) and watched all of "Song Of The South".

An average of 2 times per year for each film. I like to keep the experience reletively fresh, so I don't like watching movies every other month like some people do.

how often?
i probably only watch one a month but every once in while i get in the Disney mood too. for instance i got back from disney world back in july and i spent the whole weekend watching the disneyland treasure set. that'd be cool if they released a set on the making of disney world. that place is massive.

We watch a ton of Disney movies each month...but that doesn't mean we watch a lot of the movies in our library. My daughter fixates on a few at a time and we watch them to death. This month it's been Treasure Planet, Atlantis and now Sleeping Beauty.
I'd say in any given month we watch around ten or so different Disney films...no less than one viewing a day of any one of them.

Same with me, only I get in a Beauty and the Beast mood very often, and these usually last for two or three weeks at a time.Satoshi wrote:Same as you, Lady, I normally watch one or two a month. Though sometimes I get in a "Disney mood" and watch one like every day for as long as that mood lasts.

Actually, I tend not to rewatch the Disney movies as often as some of the others. I actually hadn't seen The Lion King in at least 6 years when I saw it last December on the IMAX. Even Disney films I own on DVD can go well over a year without a watching. It's not that I don't like them, or that I don't enjoy watching them of course, it's just...hmm, I dunno. I guess I just enjoy them more when more time goes by without watching.
Then again, my collection has gotten so big, it's at the point where I could watch a different movie or TV show every night of the year and I wouldn't have rewatched anything in the year. Take into consideration new movies - rentals, downloads, TV, theater trips - times when I'm too busy for a movie...and well, it's not much a surprise why I haven't watched Atlantis since February 2002. But, as is the case with a book collection, it's wonderful knowing that they're there and anytime I get an inkling to see something...they're there.

I watch them whenever i get the urge to... And i mean its gotta be a HUGE urge b/c i am a pre-med student and i never have time to do fun things. If i do have a huge enough urge, i will watch one even if it means that i don't get to finish my homework....Strangely, i keep having the urge to watch Alice in Wonderland while i am in my Immunology class...Odd...
So, basically, this means i hardly ever watch them. I'd say on average 1-2 times per month... But, of course, depends on what month it is also... During the summer months and december, the amount of my disney watching goes up to about 4-5 times a month.... But during school months like sept, oct, nov, jan, feb, mar, april, and may, i get to watch them sparingly (once a month if i'm lucky)....

Im like Luke... I watch them when I get them and than they sit on the shelf for a while, except for the Treasures and mini-features. Those get play whenever Im bored and jonesin for my nostaligic cartoon fix to bring me back... usually every couple of Sundays once a month or so when Im tired and feeling the reprucssions of the night before, I'll slip one in and lay out on the couch and order in some lunch.

The few Disney DVDs I have, I probably watch once every couple of months, though I haven't watched The Parent Trap (1961) at all since I first bought it. Bedknobs and Broomsticks I tend to watch every couple of weeks, but usually I just skip to a song or scene I was interested in watching again (usually Portabello Road).

Uh
Lets see. I mainly watch them when I get them, then they just go on the shelf. I have some Disney DVD's that I havn't watched for a year. Like Rascal,Biscuit Eater, Gone With The Wind, King Of The Grizzlies, Fantasia, Fantasia 2000. And a lot more. I havn't watched any dvds for a few days now. I am just so busy in school and work right now. That I just don't have time for enjoyment.[/quote]

Gone with the Wind was a Disney movie? I didn't know that. I've learned not to doubt you since you gave me that lesson in German spelling!
