Is it really matter what shade is it? :) i can see why people arn't happy with Cinderella's blue dress or Aurora pink dress (which by the way i prefer-Cinderella,it makes her look newer, and Aurora look more original,Snow White has helf blue dress and Cinderella and Jasmine (and maybe a part of Mulan's outfit) are blue allready so pink is more original and besides-it's the same dress just a different color) but the shade of her hair? is it really matter? (also i think they"ll make that change in the restoration like Disney Duster and Umberllafish said).

Thanks for sharing that with us brownpuppy!

If that is the final cover art atleast it was not that one which looked so much like the Special Edition DVD. I wonder if the Blu-Ray disc and the 2-Disc DVD will have different cover arts ?

I see 101 Dalmatians has been "spotted" in the wild.

Thank you. Thank you. I'm here all week.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

WOW!!!
Brownpuppy did get 101 Dalmatians really early but I would have just waited since Best Buy might have some freebie with the DVD. I think it probably be some plush Dalmatian toy or something.

Does it say when Snow White or The Jungle Book 2 comes out on DVD?
Maybe Disney will re-release 101 Dalmatians and The Little Mermaid 2 on DVD again?

Anyways it's only two weeks away.

Sleeping Beauty Ad Cover

Post by Disney Duster »

Aw, atlanticaunderthesea, you'd better hurry and scan your ad for Sleeping Beauty for the appropriate thread. If you make it big and don't cover it with anything, we'll be ever grateful.

But thank you very much brownpuppy...!

I don't know if I'm agreeing with people or not. Basically I don't like this cover just because it pales in comparison to ANY of the newly drawn ones France might get. Yes, it's wonderfully drawn, but it's the 2003 SE repositioned cover, re-drawn. I just like it the least out of the other covers (that actually have NEW art). Basically it's the 2003 SE repositioned cover with the images from the book cover we saw. I may post a comparison in the appropriate Sleeping Blu-ray thread.

As for hair and dress, the dress thing actually puzzles. There were only two reasons I could think of for Aurora being pink before: kids recognizing her from the Disney Princess line and the pink standing out more from all the blue. But now she could be blue and it would be fine. If Disney doesn't show her pink dress, will little kids still recognize Aurora or Sleeping Beauty as she's been marketed? So that's why I don't get covering her dress. Like I've said, I actually don't mind the pink. Oh yea, and I would rather her hair yellow than orange, Disneykid. Basically her hair was like really pale gold (pale yellow-brown?), it was called sunshine gold, and yellow is way more accurate than the orange she's usually given. I'm fine with her hair, so I guess I agree with Ariel'sprince. But Disneykid agrees with me that her hair can almost look green in the film.

So this cover is fine, but I really, really, REALLY want any of the French covers that have new art. How can they pass up such beauty? Is Maleficent more popular in France? Agree with Disneykid those covers better end up somewhere, too beautiful to be wasted.

Hey, maybe we really will get the no-dress cover for the DVD and the transforming Maleficent for Blu-ray!

Yay :D.
And if you disagree about the color of her dress,it's fine thought i disagree, but shade of hair? does that really matters? :).

I think I like the Japanese cover for 101 Dalmatians better than the American one. Here is a pic of it:

It's a screencap. I don't really think screencaps should be movie covers. Maybe it looks beautiful "in person" though.

I'm one of those rare people who didn't like the Japanese cover for TLM: PE, though.

It seemed a lot of people like it. I didn't like it primarily because Ariel didn't look like Ariel and the logo didn't look right in the background.

She does looks like werid, but still,it was so simple, there also a cover (werid) with Ariel lying on the ocean floor with the Flounder and Sebastian and Eric,Ursula and Triton were on the logo together.

I do. At least then they would have a better resemblance to the movies. :)

just 11 more days! I wonder if there will be any goodies offered for buying it at a certain store? I hope CC doesn't offer "Go Bark" cards again, like they did for Lady & The Tramp. I got ripped off (my local CCity didn't HAVE any and I was really upset.)
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Is Curella Devil smoking or not? Because I heard they digitized her smoking out of the pervious Limited Edition I want to know did they do this again for the PE as well.

I have an early copy, and I took pictures (with a camera, since I don't have a scanner)...I've been meaning to post them, but I've been busy. The PE of "Pinocchio" is only mentioned- there's no picture or anything. There's an ad for "The Jungle Book 2", "101 Dalmatians II", and "The Sword in the Stone". Hopefully tomorrow or Monday I can post them.

We're allowed to post the pictures early, right? I won't get in trouble?

And how the hell did YOU get an early copy, too? I am so jealous of you guys! Anyway, YES YES YES please post some pictures soon, especially of the ad for "The Sword in the Stone". Is there a picture of the cover art in the ad, or does it just say it will be coming soon. Is there a trailer on the disc for the upcoming 45th Anniversary Edition? Answers, I need answers, Amy! :)

It was torture handling the DVDs last night. I'm so jealous that some of you have it already. I had to stick price tags on 500 copies last night, but didn't get to take one home... :x

*sigh* just ten more days...
