I'll be seeing it in a about two weeks when it arrives at the store I work at. I get to stick the price tags on the front of the DVDs and put together the display shelf for it. I'm hoping there isn't another giant stuffed animal to attach to the top. The giant Baloo from the Jungle Book was hell to attach to the top. He just didn't want to stand... and I think I probably pressed the button that made him sing about 10 times during the process.

It's going to be so hard to handle the DVDs and not get to take one home till the end of my shift on March 5th.

I think I would get myself fired out of sheer anticipation.

I considered getting myself fired around in July of last year. When those boxes of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows showed up in the storage area on July 19th I was VERY tempted to "borrow" a copy. I didn't though, and if I can withstand that, I can withstand anything.

I did however read the first seven chapters during my breaks as we put the books out in the store between 10pm and 7am July 20th, July 21st.

I Have It and I've Seen It!

I have the 101 Dalmatians Platinum DVD. The cover is beautiful and very amazing. I learned alot from the DVD. I have a picture of me with the DVD, if anyone wants to see it. I'll post it as soon as possible.

Not really that's obvisouly lighthousemike's job to do that, but here's proof, so you won't think that I'm lying....

As I'm concern, lighthousemike does all the press releases, so I don't think I'll do anything else. He's usually the one giving out all the press release updates.

Yes yes, PLEASE let us know what the Spring 2009 Platinum Edition will be!!

And could you tell me, is Cruella still featured on the spine of the DVD, or is it Pongo?

In the Spring of 2009, Pinocchio will the next Platinum release from Walt Disney in DVD and in Blu Ray Disc.

Pongo is featured on the both of the spines in the DVD. It wasn't shocking to me, I'm glad it was changed to me.

Just as I suspected, well, as most of us probably suspected. But, confirmation is always nice. Thanks brownpuppy!

Excellent, so glad to hear that! As the film's protagonist, I think he deserves the spot! Thanks again.

Is there anything else interesting inside? Any unknown Disney DVD announcements? Any new trailers?

I'm uber jealous brownpuppy. Though very happy to hear about Pinocchio coming in spring '09.

Now I can't wait for Sleeping Beauty to confirm Fantasia for Fall '09.

Perhaps. Or a new collection could be started. And that's even if Blu-Ray is still around by then. With the majority of people not caring at all about Blu-Ray there is a chance Disney will abandon the format by 2010 if sales don't meet expectations, or something better (or more embraced by consumers) has come along by then.

And I doubt whatever comes after Fantasia wont be on DVD along with Blu-Ray if that's the case. DVD wont be dead by 2010 even if Blu-Rays numbers continue to increase.
