So, I suppose to get people excited about Jungle Book's release in a week and one day, Disney has posted a 7 Minute Preview of TJB on the Platinum's official website. This includes the stunning restored video that we will see in a few days, and it spans near the entire movie.
Again, only 8 DAYS until Jungle Book is released!!!

MY "FAB FOUR": 1- FANTASIA, 2- THE LION KING, 3- BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, 4- THE JUNGLE BOOK
Best Buy will have The Jungle Book: 2-Disc Platinum Edition for $14.99 plus Free Best Buy Exclusive Jungle Book Plush toy PLUS Save $5 on the Tin Bank with the purchase of the Jungle Book DVD // Free Plush Toys are a minimum of 24 per store w/no rain checks and 1 per DVD // Tin Banks will be minimum 12 per store and no rain checks and will sell for $14.99 before $5 discount.
Thanks for the update MadonnasManOne! I've been waiting to see what Best Buy would offer. I have already pre-ordered my copy at Best Buy, and I will be getting it there as well. With the $5 down for the pre-order and the awesome price of $14.99, I will be getting my copy for just $9.99! I have to say though, I am a little disappointed with those plushes, they are kinda weird looking. Especially, King Louie, it looks like he has a mohawk. It doesn't much matter though, I'd be getting Baloo either way. I am so excited for next week, Platinum Edition Tuesday's have become 2 of my favorite days of the year!
Thanks for posting that, MM1! I was hoping Best Buy would give plushes with the movie! And at a great price. I'm kind of sad, though, because I don't think I'll have the money until that Friday, and I'm sure the plushes will be gone by then. I want a King Louie!!!
This means I'll probably get mine at Wal-Mart too. I'm incredibly strapped for cash, but I have a giftcard for there thanks to a recent return. If it's 14.99 at Best Buy, it's likely price matching won't even be necessary. Wal-Mart will probably have it at 14.99 too for the first week (anyone know for sure?). I got the Princess Enchanted Tales DVD there for 13.99 the day it came out. Not sure what they have it at now.
I hate to pay the same price and not get the plush toys though, but I have large plushes of those characters so probably wouldn't keep them anyway, but that's not the point! Ha.

It's not a big deal and not too relevant to the discussion, but I have almost $8 in cash, so I'll only have to use about $8 from my play-money account to buy TJB! YAY!!! I can get it Tuesday if Bobby goes on his lunch break (I'll be at school)...!!!
For sure I will get the Baloo plushie. I just hope not too many people get there before me because the orange monkey is a big turn off.
Oh and I visited my closest Wal-Mart to see if they had put out the DVDs early, they didn't. I asked them stupidly as if I had no idea it wasn't out yet and they smartly pointed to the sign for me.
OK, the reviewer didn't go over the top but it's clear this is not one of his favorite Disney films.
Why he calls the background animation "trite at best and well below Disney standards" is beyond me. There are times it looks poor and reminisicent of the "The Aristocats" but some scenes are visually incredible.
