HAHA did anyone notice the 'Jacob loves you' text that's on the Lost cover art? I thought it was quite funny, not sure if it was supposed to be though.

Thanks for that link Anthony. :) Even though I don't like the show, and find it very contrived, I like that they're getting it onto DVD so quickly and that there'll be bonus features on it. And the cover art looks nice too, though some people look totally photoshopped into it.

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7867

It looks like they have added the following bonus features:

I'm all for more bonus features, so, this is great news!

I wish I could afford it, but, I've got my entertainment budget planned through the end of October. I'm picking up Desperate Housewives: Season 3, Grey's Anatomy: Season 3, and Brothers and Sisters: Season 1. Plus, I'm saving up for I Love Lucy: The Complete Series in October, on top of several other releases, and video games I plan to get.

So, Ugly Betty: Season 1 is out of the question, for now.

Ha yeah, it's the same for me. These releases come out in October, and during like two weeks, I'm going to be spending over like $300 on Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, and that special release of all five seasons of Six Feet Under, which is only just being released here in Australia. Add to that Georgia Rule, Bobby, Sabrina- Season 1, Will and Grace- Seasons 1-8, The L Word- Season 3, Nip/Tuck- Seasons 3 and 4, and possibly the complete series of both The OC and Sex and the City, and I'm gonna need a seriously hefty pay check to buy all of them. Lucky my 16th birthday and Xmas are coming. :)

I am also in the same boat as James and MM1. There are numerous TV-DVDs coming in the next couple of weeks that I am going to buy. This time of year is always expensive because all the current shows that are returning release the previous season to help promote the show. That is why my wallet will be empty when I buy DH, Supernatural, Nip/Tuck, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy and Charmed (even though Charmed is an older show).

Other releases like Heroes, What About Brian, Jericho, Dexter, South Park and Ugly Betty will all have to wait......

Are there ever price drops on these expensive shows? Here in Canada they are charging $55+ per season. Around $35-40 is what other hour-long shows usually cost.

It depends on the studio and how long the show has been released. Here in Canada, all TV-DVDs eventually come down in price. Case in point, I was recently able to purchase seasons 1-6 of Will & Grace on Amazon.ca for $16.99 each (when they first came out they were around $35-40). Same with the first 4 seasons of Frasier at Wal-Mart for $17.50 each (regular $32-39). You just gotta keep your eyes peeled for price drops.

If you shop on-line, I also have noticed on Amazon.ca that the earlier a TV-DVD is available for pre-order the cheaper it is. I pre-ordered Desperate Housewives: Season 3 and Supernatural: Season 2 for $44.88 each back in July. The current price for both now, since both are being released soon, are $59.98 and $52.95 respectively. That's a big price difference!! So always try to pre-order as early as possible if it's a show that you know you want to buy.

Hope this helps somewhat.

DVDTalk.com has posted their review of Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Third Season on DVD. They give it a Recommended review. The person reviewing it doesn't want to like the show, however, he has fallen for it. Having said that, he seems to feel that Season 3 was not up to par with Season 2.

While I agree that Season 3 didn't live up to the awesome Season 2, I am a little tired of people acting like Season 3 was terrible. It was far from it. It was a season of change, and one that was necessary. Things may not have played out as people may have liked, but, that's life.
