Ratatouille Discussion Thread (Previews, Reviews, etc.)
I got my ticket for the sneak on saturday.
I can't wait. There are about 4 theatres playing it for sneaks in the Metro Atlanta area.
Check Movietickets.com or Fandango.com now, before tickets sell out.
Ratatouille is gonna be the 2nd best movie of the summer (behing Harry Potter 5).

JV IS TIZ!!! PIXAR, I was of course at the same screening you were. As far as I understand, we might have been the first public audience to see the movie (?). Are you from Austin or another nearby town? (you don't have to answer that if you don't want to).
"Patton said thanks for coming and that this was the only way to get kids to come see “Hostile, Part 2”. Everyone laughed."
JV means HOSTEL, part 2.
And as JV said, they showed the Wall*E teaser and Lifted (which was hilarious). The Wall*E teaser wasn't funny like the Pixar teasers usually are, but it was very effective and people seemed to respond well to it.
I'm trying not to base too much off of the audience reaction (which was overwhelmingly positive), because everyone at this screening was either a child or a huge Pixar fan. However, my friends that came with me were not expecting Ratatouille to be that good (they thought Pixar might have finally missed the mark), but they absolutely loved it.
JV, I also had the Ratatouille and Linguini in the spirit of the film. And I LOVED the credits, they were perfect.

IGN.com has posted their hands-on impressions of the Wii version of Ratatouille. They seem to really enjoy the game. They also have new gameplay videos. I may actually have to pick this up. Check it out!

BigFish - Yes, I believe we were one of the first audiences in the world to see the film. Yeah I do live in nearby town.
I missed most of the credits, because that is when I was talking to Patton.
Where at in the theater did you sit? I sat in the middle row and in that row I sat in the middle. I was the guy/teen wearing the Incredibles t-shirt.

Just found out that there is a sneak preview of "Ratatouille" where I live. Looks like I might not have to wait until opening weekend afterall. However, online ticketing is not available, so hopefully I will be able to get tickets. I'm so excited to see this movie.
Does anyone know if you see the Sneak Preview, does that showing still apply for the Disney Movie Rewards points? I assume it does, I wouldn't know why it wouldn't, but I just wanted to check.

IGN.com has posted an exclusive clip that shows the progression of a scene from animatic to final cut. It's pretty interesting.

EDIT: Okay, I just watched this, and I really loved the intro in setting up the fact that the "story of a robot" was one of the films discussed back before Toy Story was released. It's official, by the way, WALL-E is the cutest robot I've ever seen!
