However, we do not have an official thread for actual discussion of the movie, which includes previews, reviews, retail products, etc. So, I wanted to start the thread, as I am extremely excited about this forthcoming film.
Next Tuesday, Disney will unleash an unusual all-day television advertising campaign, culminating with a 90-second spot on “American Idol,” intended to drive viewers to a nine-and-a-half-minute clip from the film at disney.com.

Anyone know more about that?
The only thing I know about it is that my Disney Insider e-mail contained a link to sign-up to be one of the first to see an exclusive 9 minute clip from the film. I took the opportunity to sign-up, and am excited to see it when it becomes available!
This is not in the way of a review, but I had the opportunity to hear one of the production staff from Ratatouille give a presentation last week. He said that he had been working on the film for 4 straight years, and that they wrapped production at the beginning of April. I'm sure this is alightly biased due to his hard work, but he said he thinks it's their best one yet.
Here's the links to the teaser for the 9 minute chunk of Ratatouille. Like National Treasure and Eight Below, this 9 minute preview will be missing scenes during it, but will be presented in a way that you wouldn't notice until you see the full film.

And why may I ask should Ratatouille get such a benefit (when lets face it, most people who are likely to see it will see it already) and Meet the Robinsons or Chicken Little weren't deemed worthy of an All Day event?
As much as I love the idea of a rat lead character, I really wasn't too impressed with the trailer. It just lacked.....I can't quite find the right words. I guess I've been really tainted with some of the stuff Disney has churned out over the past few years. However, I'll reserve final judgment until I actually see the film.
The preview is now available at www.disney.com . It's also available in Disney XD.
The preview actually runs 10 minutes 30 seconds long, with Brad Bird commentary. There are a couple of scenes which have been included in the trailers and previews.
At any rate, this film looks like it's going to be another Pixar hit! The animation, design, music...everything just comes together well. I can't wait to see this!
The preview is amazing! I love the little flash of Notre-Dame in the background at the beginning of the second scene. I don't know why, but I think the lighting (sp?) and the general color tones of that movie are especially beautiful. I hope they will release it in English where I live (Meet the Robinsons was only in French so I didn't get to see it yet) because I really don't feel like waiting for after June 29th!
"Ratatoulle" may beat out "Cars" as my favorite Pixar film. The camera work/angles is amazing. Remy is adorable!!!
(not-really-a-spoiler-alert-but-a-possible-Hidden-Mickey-sighting):
After Remy threw the ingredients in the soup, I thought I saw a Hidden Mickey in the soup.
Did anyone else go to Disney.com and watch the preview?
They mentioned on Entertainment Tonight that tomorrow they will have a sneak peak, with Brad Bird, and made mention that a preview is available at Disney.com!

It looks like myr_heille & myself did...!
I'm glad that you two did, and shared your thoughts. This is going to be a great film! I just feel it!
So, after Ratatouille, what is the next Pixar film? Willl that be W.A.L.L.-E.? If so, that should be the new trailer we'll see in front of Ratatouille.
