No, I didn't see it. I'll have to wait for the DVD release.dvdjunkie wrote:Did anyone else see this THX opening besides me?

Could you possibly describe it for those of us who weren't lucky enough to catch it?
Much appreciated. Right back at ya!PapiBear wrote:I wanted to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone who's gotten mad at me or been upset by things I've said. I know I've been rude sometimes, and I'm sorry. I'll try better to be nicer to everyone.
It doesn't, does it? That's the frustrating thing - we know we're supposedly old enough not to be affected like this, but for some strange reason, this film series has just gotten me in that way. I never would have expected it. It's not exactly like it's disrupting my life or anything, it's just probably a mild obsession.kbehm29 wrote:I'm a 30-yr-old woman and I feel the same way about this series of movies. To the point that I get upset with people who don't see them in the same light as I do. I can't stop thinking about them.....lol it doesn't make sense.
Me too, although I think it'd have to be really, REALLY terrible to ruin the previous three, and I don't think that'd be the case.kbehm29 wrote:I really am holding out hope that the 4th movie will be just as successful, and won't ruin the previous three.

My five-year-old's are down past his shoulders. My youngest two sons have never had a haircut in their life.
Thank you, OT, I appreciate that. Unfortunately I can't PM you, so I can't provide any personal info or negotiate the deal. But I do appreciate you offering. If things change and you still have it I'll be glad to take it off your hands.Okie Tigger wrote:I have a mint, watched once 2 disc DMC dvd if you want to make an offer
Yes, this is true. I did join a Tia Dalma community on LiveJournal that seems to have some fan-fiction writers on it.blackcauldron85 wrote:Awww, PapiBear! Don't be sad! You could always read fan-fiction, and then the characters will live on forever!
Siren wrote:About Tai Dalma. I can certainly agree she is a fantastic character. African American actors and actresses have come a long way.
She's an amazing character. I simply haven't had my fill of her yet.Siren wrote:And to see her portray a GODDESS of all things. And have her preformance so well recieved. She is by far one of the best characters in the series. And also the best least used, which is very unfortunate. I love her attitude.
"if you don't want it....give it back." I laugh out loud everytime to that.![]()
I would love that, and I do hope that happens (I'm sure Naomie Harris would love to play her again as well, it's been huge for her career and it's just a meaty character for any actor), but I'm not particularly confident that they'll bring her back, unless it would make sense to do so, storywise. I wouldn't want her brought back just for show or to hang around.Siren wrote:If they do make another one or a spin off, I hope she is included and has a bigger part. If allowed, she could really flesh out the character. A novel or movie like you mentioned Papi, I would SO be there.
I have to agree, I thought Norrington's character was rather needlessly done away with this time around, especially so after having been so significant to the plot of the second film in particular.Prudence wrote:Since this entire thread has spoilers, I'll simply come out and say it -
I truly miss James Norrington. He is the first Disney character that I have found myself attached to who actually dies. (No, he is not the first fictional character or historical figure I have loved who dies. However....ugh, he was sorely underrated in this movie and his death was so needless.) I can't believe that I miss him, almost as if he were a real person, but I do. I think it's because I saw so many elements of people dear to me and of myself in this man, and because I clearly understood his motives - as well as his heart - throughout the entire trilogy. Rest in peace, James Norrington. My friend Valery made this video in his honor -
