Haven't seen Napoleon Dynamite yet. My best friend loves it though. And usually, I trust her judgment, but she also loves Family Guy. 'Nuff said.


And I haven't seen all of In and Out, but I thought what I saw was really sweet. Certainly more bravery than I would have expected from 1998. But hey... The movie was at least very well acted. And funny - I laughed. And I don't always get gay-humor.

Wow, a lot of people really hate Happy Feet. I mean, I know its not great but it was not that terrible. I guess people just have different opinions.

Again I can't speak for myself since I haven't seen it yet. But since my best friend likes it, I can promise you she saw something in it that's more than just "gosh" and idiot!" It's got to be the retro-cultural references. Mixed with the offbeat humor. And if I'm not mistaken, there aren't many sympathetic characters in that movie. Which adds to the reasoning why the humor is offbeat. This was on Comedy Central last month and I missed it. I hope if it's on again, I don't miss it.

Huh? Da Vinci COde a better movie than 12 Angry Men and Finding Neverland. Suggest you need to rewatch all three. I am not going to suggest critics are the be all and the end all but lets look at the rotten tomatoes ratings

12 Angry Men - 100% positive reviews
Finding Neverland - 84% positive reviews
Da Vinci COde - 25% positive reviews

I can cut you some slack on Finding Neverland - it was slow at times. But 12 Angry Men? Really a brilliant piece of work with a good deal of insight into the human condition. Could some one not like it - sure, but worst movie of all time - I dont understand that.

If you do watch it, make sure its with your friend. It's way better to watch it with someone else, otherwise you'll feel quite silly. I know exactly how that can be. And it's true, watching movies alone is a different thing from watching them around other people. Personally, I don't trust groups when it comes to watching horror movies though (since that's kind of my thing). And of course I'm the last person you'd want to watch a comedy with in a group. I can be in the group itself and still be completely removed from the other people there. If I see something that bothers me - I say it, right there, in front of the whole group. My best friend got really upset with me when we watched Road Trip with her friends. I absolutely hated that it ripped off so many other movies. But she didn't care. And when she finally left the room, I think she was swearing at me.

Anyway, sometimes it's better to watch it with another person. But I prefer watching most movies alone. I think it's easier to focus on more aspects of the movie itself. However, it's just great to get the reaction from other people. I can't decide which I like better... Arg.

I'm going to have to add another movie on this list. I saw it recently and it truly is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life.

Running With Scissors is the somewhat true story of Augusten Burroughs, whose looney of a mother drops him off to live with her therapist (whose family is equally as bizarre). Every character is so eccentric, so over-the-top dysfunctional that it becomes unrelatable and unbearable to watch.

The director and co-writer Ryan Murphy (who also writes, directs and created the fabulous TV show Nip/Tuck, which makes his contribution to this film even more upsetting) seems more fixated on the details of the 70's art direction and set design than delivering a screenplay worthy of the original memoir by Burroughs on which the film is based.

Truly horrid.

Batman & Robin
Self-parody, hammy acting, rubber nipples, stunt casting, zero story, non-exististant character development, rubber nipples, flashy over-the-top sets, hammy dialogue. Have I mentioned the frikkin' RUBBER NIPPLES??.

Close contenders:
Cinderella 2, Batman Forever, Fear.com (don't ask), Pocahontas 2, Hunchback 2, Mr. Bean's Vacation. There are probably more I'm forgettingm and thank god for that!

X Men The Last Stand. Enough said.

Also, I didn't get what the big deal with Babel was. Honestly, I thought it was a gross, all over the piece train wreck. Some of the sexual stuff and violence in there was just too creepy.

I was also not fond of either Batman and Robin or X Men the Last Stand. I could not finish either movie because of how boring they were.
