Wow, you fall for everything! It's obvious that it isn't coming out very soon, it's going to be a few more months. Geez, I'm sure that everyone saw that coming, hello, it was April Fools!

Hello! It's Amazon.com! An online retailer would not create a fake DVD that you could pre-order for an April Fools joke. Not everything posted on April Fools Day is a joke. I didn't fall for anything. This is the cover art. I'd be willing to bet money that when Luke is able to put up the press release and cover art on the 13th.

I don't like the cover art, if this is what it is going to look like. I really hope they go with the original movie poster. It was so nice. If the Blu-ray is the one I am thinking, and how it showed it in the post I posted above, I will buy the Blu-Ray one instead.

Here in Holland it's also not a Disney film. It's presented as a Walden Media production. Some other company does the distribution.

Then maybe "Bridge to Terabithia" is more of a Walden Media film than it is a Walt Disney Pictures film. Typically, when two studios are billed on a film, both contributed to financing it. However, if that was the case, I'm sure Disney would be handling distribution world wide. So maybe this is really Walden Media's first film fully made by them and Disney is just the distrubutor in certain countries, including the U.S.

Yes Bridge to Terabithia is another one of those films which joins those like Around the World in 80 days, Valiant and Flight of the Navigator etc which is only distributed by Disney in North American.

Now where's my list of North American Disney distributed films, which aren't really Disney films. ;)

Walden Media have split distributors on a lot of their films: Around the World in 80 Days, Hoot, How to Eat Fried Worms..

It appears Holes and the Narnia films hving a single worldwide distributor are the exceptions, rather than the rule.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Figured I'd BUMO this up with news of additional material for the DVD. Over at DVDTimes, they mention the featurettes and music video we already know about (UD Front Page reported it on April 20th), but there will also be two commentaries included as well:

-Behind the Book: The Themes of Bridge to Terabithia
-Digital Imagination: Bringing Terabithia to Life
-"Keep Your Mind Wide Open" Music Video Performed by AnnaSophia Robb
-Audio Commentary with Gabor Csupo, Jeff Stockwell and Hal Lieberman
-Audio Commentary with Josh Hutcherson, AnnaSophia Robb and Lauren Levine

Wow! Thanks for the info Al! Two commentaries! and some of the PE's didn't get any. Now I can only hope that the two featurettes are about 30 minutes long.

Why hope, they are probably less than ten minutes each :(

That would be quite pleasing!

I'm surprised that they're not offering a blooper reel and deleted scenes. Those are the most common form of bonus features these days and in some cases are the only bonus features. Still, give me a 90-odd minute commentary over a 5-minute set of outtakes any day of the week.

Luke, do you know when the review will be up?

I do have a little spit though! The "Behind the Book: The Themes of Bridge To Terabithia" is quite a lot like something I wrote in the "Ultimate Disney DVD/Blu-ray" thread:
-The Mythical Themes of "Sleeping Beauty" - 20-minute featurette discussing the different themes seen throughout Perrault's novel and Walt's masterpiece
Do Disney people actually come onto the site, or is this a mere coincidence?

Ive loved this book since I was a kid, we had to read it in like 3rd grade and ever since its been a favorite. Ive been waiting years for it to be made into a movie, but when i saw the trailors I was disappointed.....it just isnt at all how I remember the book, but I understand they always add way more 'excitement' for the movie version of anything. I did order this though its not here yet. i look forward to watching it and seeing what I really think of it.

well they did come with a movie in 85. i thought the movie was cute. i read the book earlier this year and found it so-so but i probably don't find it exciting after reading other things like The Kingdom Keepers, Harry Potter, Eragon, Eldest, and the Peter Pan prequels although i found the Peter Pan play sequel rather dull.
members i like:Jasmine1022, Lazario(when he's in a good mood), Escapy, Prudence, Blackcauldron85, Anthony, and Mason Ireton.
Members i dislike: Lazario(when he's in a bad mood).

I just bought Bridge to Terebithia, The Secret of Nimh, and The Dark Crystal today so I'll have some good movies to watch over the weekend.

just watched it and loved it loved it loved it. I thought because of the cover that the whole thing would be the fantasy world but I was glad they stayed true to the book and kept most of it in the real world. i cried...alot lol but it was great.
