Music from Disney Classics Trailers
There certainly was a DVD trailer for Alice In Wonderland: Special Edition! It was all over the place at one time; on the Mulan DVD, Aladdin (I think), and all other DVDs that came out at that time. I am talking about R2 here though, so that could be why! And yes, i meant the trailer for the DVD, but not the DVD menus.
Ohhh, I keep forgetting you're from the UK, even though your location says it. Is this DVD trailer online? We never got one here in the US except for one that was shown on Disney Store TV screens.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:There certainly was a DVD trailer for Alice In Wonderland: Special Edition! Music from Disney Classic Trailers
Atlanticaunderthesea's trailer finds:
That Cinderella trailer was okay, although I didn't like the "Get her" shouted by the Duke, or Lucifer's meow at the end...
That Little Mermaid trailer has just become my very favorite Little Mermaid trailer! I like the beginning talk about the other fairy tale classics, and the music in this one is great, because I like the instrumentals in the background (as well as her "ah ah ah"!). The way they edited this one with the dailogue and sound effects was really exceptional!
The Beauty and the Beast one was okay, but for some reason didn't fly with me. I really would like to see that Save The Beast one!
The Pocahontas one was nice, but I prefer trailers just about the movie itself.
The Mulan one was okay, but like I said I prefer ones that focus on the movie itself. I like the first Mulan teaser:
Mulan Teaser
The music that plays as she disguises herself as a soldier is chilling, but in the good way!
I couldn't see The Rescuers one.
The Aladdin one I actually found to be really, really good.
I hope we find the Alice and Save The Beast trailers...
I have another favorite Cinderella trailer of mine, from the re-release in France, July 2005:
Cinderella French 2005 Trailer
The only thing I don't like about it is the random Gus laughing at the end, I would have preferred something like the clock chiming or a different scene with a sound effect.

I LOVE this one! The beginning with her acapella is enchanting and haunting! Jodi's vocal vibrato was flawless!atlanticaunderthesea wrote:The Little Mermaid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx7-RHNJ ... ed&search=

The Snow White Platinum Edition trailer is amazing! I prefer the villain version of it though. Unfortunately, i couldn't find it.
The Cinderella Platinum Edition is so good as well. I think it's classical music 'cause i've heard it before. The Cinderella 3 trailer and the teaser trailer for The Lion King 1 1/2 were great too.

That French Cinderella trailer's awesome, but I agree that the random Gus shot should've been left out. I also love Little Mermaid's theatrical one, but hate the "not that one, the other one!" line. Mulan's teaser (I'm assuming it's a teaser and not a full theatrical trailer because it reveals so little) is one of the best Disney's done. It actually makes me wish Mulan was more of a drama in the vein of Pocahontas and Hunchback rather than a dramedy that leans a little closer to comedy.
My favorite Disney trailer ever would have to be Hunchback's. The end with "Bells of Notre Dame" playing over all those dramatic action shots gives me goosebumps every time.

I love the French Cinderella trailer! The wording was used almost identically in the French poster for the Special Edition DVD, which I own (I got it from Disneyland Paris!). Incidentaly, the French poster for the single disc of Cinderella is far nicer than the 2 Disc special edition/ platinum edition, I think anyway!
The Mulan trailer is wonderful, so full of suspence; very dark as well.
Woh! ! ! THOND trailer was wicked! I can see why you love it Disneykid.
I'm glad people loved the TLM trailer! Her voice does indeed sound amazing! Any more trailers around?!?!

Thanks a ton for that, yamiiguy! That was the Alice trailer I had seen playing at the Disney Store. It seems bizarre that Disney never attached it to any R1 DVDs, or even put it on their website. That music is definitely stock music (except for the Unbirthday Song, of course). I've heard it before on lots of home video trailers, though I can't exactly think of what at the moment.
Yay! Thank you yamiiguy, that was the trailer I meant! It is so strange how it wasnt included on R1 DVD's.
I love the music in teh Cinderella one, its really beautiful and graceful.
I know I keep going on about it, but does anyone even know of the Save The Beast trailer I keep talking about? Can anyone even remember it?

Trailers for Disney Classics
sotiris2006, I didn't like that song in the The Lady and the Tramp II trailer. I don't like country songs. All those Stitch trailers are really great, though! Did anyone notice that in the Beauty and the Beast Stitch trailer, Belle is voiced by Jodi Benson?!
As for that Hunchback trailer, I ummm...actually didn't like it very much, but I loved all the music in it. I love all the music from Hunchback, it's so memorable it comes into my head to this day. And "The Belles of Notre Dame" is one of my favorite songs ever. I think the gargoyles are what annoyed me. There was this one book, The Animated Movie Guide, that reviewed the film and it was either 3 or 4 out of 4 stars, and they said that the gargoyles' comedic antics kept it from beng the more perfect film it could have been. They said they felt the artists wanting to make a more serious picture but being restrained...or something like that don't quote me on anything. Anyway, Disneykid, that song gave me a dose of chills I haven't had in a while.
Hey, that Cinderella DVD trailer stole from two sequel trailers! One of my favorite trailers ever, the teaser for Cinderella II, and the trailer for The Hunchback of Notre Dame II!
Cinderella II Teaser
Hunchback II Trailer
These are the perfect examples of re-used stock music in these trailers! But they even re-used the same footage from the Cinderella II teaser for the original's trailer! Lazy! Although I love that part the best...

Re: Trailers for Disney Classics
Although I hardly ever disagree with you Disney Duster, I will on this topic! Belle in the Lilo and Stitch trailer is in fact voiced by Paige O'Hara, her original voice, and not Jodi Benson, although Jodi did voice Ariel in her trailer. I know this because on the Lilo and Stitch: 2 Disc Special Edition, the director Chris Sanders discusses the teaser trailers, and how they got the original voice artists in to perform their characters. He said he couldnt get over the fact that he was speaking to Belle and Ariel!Disney Duster wrote:sotiris2006, I didn't like that song in the The Lady and the Tramp II trailer. Oh, I'm sorry I gave wrong information! Thank you for correcting me, because people need to know that I can be wrong sometimes!atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Although I hardly ever disagree with you Disney Duster, I will on this topic! I loved the music in the Jungle Book 40th Anniversary Special Edition trailer so much, I thought i'd upload it to share:
