Johnny Tremain R1 US
A live action Disney film with bonus features? Surely not!

Over the Hedge: 2 Disc Special Edition R2 UK
A good CG Dreamworks film? I must be dreaming!

The Borrowers: Series 1 R2 UK
One of the classic Sunday afternoon BBC children's series. In the same vein as the Chronicles of Narnia, Five Children and It, The Box of Delights and countless others. The Borrowers brings back amazing childhood memories for me and is a faithful adaptation of Mary Norton's book and is leagues ahead of the abysmal americanized film version with John Goodman, this is how it should be done!

Animaland R2 UK
David Hand, the director of Bambi and Snow White brings us his own shorts which are a strange combination of the beauty and animation style of Bambi and the wackiness of the Looney Tunes.

Ellen: Season 3 R1 US
Brilliant. I don't even have season 2 yet, but this was only $12. A wonderful collection of episodes, and once they got rid of Adam the series really takes off and becomes what we know.

Blackadder Goes Forth R2 UK
The best Blackadder in my opinion. Episode 1 of this series is one of the funniest things I know, the lines just bang out one after the other.

Blackadder: Back and Forth R2 UK
I remember watching this when it was first broadcast. In the intermittent years I've heard it take a lot of bashing so I was expecting it to be worse than it actually is. Granted it's not the top of its game, but its watchable. The Cavalier years as a bonus is a nice inclusion.

The Worst Week of My Life R2 UK
I never saw this first time around and I only half watched the second series, but I was compelled to pick it up after seeing and adoring the Xmas specials. Brilliant!

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air R2 UK
5 discs of fashion mistakes!

My Neighbours the Yamadas R2 UK
Still not watched it yet.
Doctor Who: New Beginnings 3 Discs R2 PAL
The Keeper of Traken (Shakespearian), Logopolis (Mathematical) and Castrovalva (Innocent). Together they form a trilogy which saw the return and faux regeneration of the Master (the Moriarty to The Doctor's Holmes), the death of the 4th Doctor and the Birth of the 5th.
Long time readers may remember Castrovalva is my all-time favourite Doctor Who story (and it's actually the first one I watched 'properly'). The set comes with hours of features, including a gobsmackingly brilliant documentary on the transition between Tom Baker to Peter Davison, which pulls no punches (even Sir Thomas of Baker is serious most of the time, criticizing himself as well as others)
The Godfather DVD Collection 5 Discs R2 PAL
Well, I got this because it was under £15 and I've got and enjoyed the 360 Godfather game (but a quick glance at my Gamertag info shows I've not played it for ages). I don't really go for gangster movies, but I should make an effort to watch at least the 1st one so I can appreciate the game better. I'm sure I will find the bonus disc interesting too.
Live! Girls! Present Dogtown 2 Discs R2 PAL
Or The League of Ladies as they should be called (even the cover of the DVDs emulates The League of Gentlemen, including the same font for some of the type, as well as a composition which brings to mind images of the "local shop" and Edward and Tubbs.) And it proves, Gentlemen do it better than Ladies.
Keane 2 Discs R2 PAL
Damian Lewis gives an absolute gripping performance in this. This should have been up for BAFTAs, Golden Globes and Oscars in my opinion, yet sadly wasn't. The 2 disc set doesn't come with any supplements except for one stunning one: a complete re-edit of the movie by producer Steven Soderbergh. Wowzers!

Children of Men 1 Disc R2 PAL
Typical. I buy this, and more extras get put through the BBFC and Universal US announce a HD DVD.
Dark Season and Century Falls 1 disc each release, R2 PAL
Before Russell T Davies recreated Doctor Who, before he created Queer and Folk, he wrote for children's television. But he wrote thrilling, exciting, sometimes scary television for children. The type that isn't allowed these days (until Sarah Jane Adventures is shown later in 2007).
Here we have both of RTDs BBC Children's serials released with the respect that they deserve, each includes a booklet of viewing notes. Dark Season is also noticeable for starring a very young, pre-Titanic Kate Winslet, and (presumably) taking place in the Doctor Who 'Whoniverse' (An adult version of one of the children, Marcie, appears in RTD's Doctor Who novel Damaged Goods)
Mr and Mrs Smith UNRATED 2 Discs R1 NTSC
Saw this cheap (and even cheaper due to the current pound to dollar exchange rate) and bought it, even though I thought the film was 'average' at best. I hope the supplements don't let me down. Normally Fox do excellent 2 disc sets.
Masters of Horror S1 Vol 2 6 Discs R2 PAL
The final six episodes of the season, Jenifer, Dance of the Dead, Imprint, Pick Me Up, Fair Haired Child and Haeckel's Tale. It also comes with over 16 hours of supplements. All for less than £18. Like I said when I snapped up Season 1 Vol 1, it makes a change for the UK to get stuff cheaper than the US (in this case, way cheaper!)

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air R2 UK
5 discs of fashion mistakes!Does it freak anyone else out that this show is 17 years old?
*starts funky fresh beat*
Now this is a story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down and
I'd like to take a minute, just sit right
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air...
In west Philadelphia, born and raised
On the playground is where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out, maxin' relaxin' all call and shootin' some B-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started makin' trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said
'Your movin' in with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air!'
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said "FRESH" and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it - Yo holmes, to Bel Air!'
I pulled up to a house around 7 or 8 and
I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo holmes, smell ya later!'
Took a look at my kingdom, I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel Air.
Cheers,
The Fresh Pr- I mean,
JM
Cheers,
JM

I can finally post!!!!!

Dinosaur: 2-Disc Collector's Edition
This is pretty amazing stuff. The movie looks, and sounds, fantastic, and Disc 2 is great for any collector.

Walt Disney Treasures: Tomorrow Land
I haven't delved into much of this yet. I have watched some of "Man In Space," which is very good (nice transfer!) and I'm sure everything else on the set will be spectatcular. Tins dented, but, ah, who cares?
I also recieved an 80GB iPod, but when I plugged it into the computer, both of my sisters music, which I hate, downloaded. So I have to find someway to get it off, and put some better music on there, like Gershwins "Rhapsody in Blue," and "An American In Paris"
Also, my mom bought me "On the Front Lines" (from Canada), and that darn Canadian package has yet to come, so I'm waiting for that one!

Open up iTunes, plug in your iPod, highlight all the stuff you want to delete (ctrl+left click) then right click and delete.TheSequelofDisney wrote: I also recieved an 80GB iPod, but when I plugged it into the computer, both of my sisters music, which I hate, downloaded. If you price match Best Buy, can you still save $5 on any other Disney DVD? I watch what I spend.MadonnasManOne wrote:Cinderella III: A Twist In Time. I'm excited to go home and watch this! I price matched the Circuit City price of $16.99 at Best Buy (getting points on the Reward Zone card), and got the free issue of Disney Adventures magazine.

It may depend on your local store/manager, but I've always been allowed to price match and still take advantage of Best Buy's various $5 off Disney DVD deals.TheSequelofDisney wrote:If you price match Best Buy, can you still save $5 on any other Disney DVD? I watch what I spend.

Yes, thanks to Aaron for answering that. I am at work, and wasn't able to respond, until now. As Aaron suggested, it all depends, so just give it a try. It doesn't hurt to try.TheSequelofDisney wrote:Thanks Aaron!
