New DVD Thread Title?
Hey...
If The Little Merman deletes his post, then blaing deletes his second, then Escapay deletes his, and blaing deletes his first...that will delete this thread and allow for starting over, right?
All we need is blaing to make one post after me, say it's okay, and we can start!
OR... The Little Merman can post what title he had, and blaing can change his first post accordingly, giving credit to The Little Man in a little blurb.

Update time, I've had most of these for about a week.

The First Snow of Winter R2 UK
This is a beautifully animated featurette, which I have seen on TV every Christmas for the past few years, it's relatively new but is stunning, simply stunning. Starring Dermot Morgan (who played Father Ted) and Miriam Margolyes I thoroughly recommend this DVD!

Walt Disney's Legacy Collection: True Life Adventures: Lands of Exploration. R1 NTSC
Stunning, I really enjoyed this volume. I was sad to see the state of Nature's Strangest Creatures though, it looks hideous.

Walt Disney's Legacy Collection: True Life Adventures: Creatures of the Wild R1 NTSC
This didn't excite me as much as voulme 2, but still some good stuff. I actually think I'm enjoying the bonus features more. The documentaries on each volume are great.

Walt Disney's Legacy Collection: True Life Adventures: Nature's Mysteries R1 NTSC
I haven't cracked this one open yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing Perri.

Cars R2 UK
I wasn't planning on getting this yet, I'll make my views known when I get time!

I was thinking of "New DVD Thread X - The Pricematchers Strike Back"
Also, no offence to blaing, but what the hell is "Sharkey" and why is he so vengeful?

So far this month, I have added the following to my DVD collection:
<b>The Best of the Electric Company</b>, volume 1
<b>The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, volume 1</b> - I had the episodes on VHS, but this box set just went out of print. And when MST3K episodes go out of print, they <em>stay</em> out of print...so this was my last chance. It's a good thing it was still in stock at Amazon!
<b>Cars</b>, my Secret Santa gift from dvdjunkie

Little Merman, I like your idea, certainly better than mine.
I nicknamed the shark of DDD sharkey, but I had a minor problem with an order recently.
It was originally charged via another of Muze's companies "The Bunny Shop". I had the money refunded and then re-charged under the DDD name.
I was a bit upset because I was hit twice for the 2.5% O/S conversion fee.
I should have been refunded the conversion fee from the "Bunny Shop" transaction, but I doubt it. I don't feel like trying to get that fee back from Visa.
Still, here's today's purchases:
From Big W:
The Simpsons, The Complete Season 6 ($A28.72) (Standard version)
The Simpsons, The Complete Season 7 (A$28.72) (Standard version) *
From Virgin Megastore at Myer
Shrek (one disc version) ($19.95)
Shrek 2 (one disc version) ($19.95)
*That is, of course the box version (not the character head edition, which is more or less sold out here)
And thats it for me now until after Christmas.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (Theatrical Version Widescreen)
I went to Target and all they had were a few of the Full Screens and a ton of the Unrated. Walmart had one Widescreen copy and a few Full Screens, but they also had a ton of the Unrated.
Didn't think the Theatrical Version would be so hard to find. Is it selling better than the Unrated, or did they just not make many of them?
