I don't have MMILCV2, so I can't comment on the Mickey holding a gun, but the "Tom & Jerry" reference is about the censorship done to the T&J DVD sets. The reviewer (the one and only Lukester) commented that there's a Maltin intro that's skippable, and it's a better treatment to the cartoon than redubbing the voices, which I believe was one of the censors done to some T&J cartoons (along with clunky video edits of racial stereotypes).
Beastboyravenz wrote:Hi, I know this thread is really old, but I just need someone to get me out of doubt. I was reading about Symphony Hour that some scenes were cut. A scene where Mickey holds a gun to Donalds head. Is that scene showned in the treasure? <snip> Is this scene included, I recently bought this set, but haven't recieved it yet. Besides this particular short, the rest of the shorts are still intact and uncensored right?
Usually if something on the DVD is edited, the review would make a note of it, as has been done for The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, etc. I don't own a variety of Treasures sets, where these types of edits (or making-sure-they're-not-edited instances) were more common. But looking over other Treasures reviews, it's apparent that Disney made sure that the material was uncensored (at least for cartoons, as some sequences are cut out of specific live-action Disneyland episodes).
