And if Kirsten doesn't return, I see Zenon being played by Ashley Tisdale, Sabrina Bryan, or te UD favorite Sara Paxton.
I can see Sabrina Bryan pulling it off...

To me, this movie seems to be just a little to corny and the new cast members seem a little unlikable. A lot of the colors stand out to much.

As far as the story goes, I sense a lot of plot holes comming our way. I mean, time travel is hard to do in film enough (Harry Potter 3 is a film that does it right), but when Disney Channel tries to do it, its kinda embarassing.

Oh well, I guess I'm gonna have to wait until I watch it (which is more of an honor than I gave The Cheetah Girls 2)
okay okay...one it looks way more serious and independent than the complete waste of talent Halloweentown High was. That movie had all the original talent, bigger budget and it horrible! the plot stunk!

and the fact that you ignore cheetah girls 2 is a sign that ur not willing to accept good sequels...

Honestly, I thought The Cheetah Girls 2 was a valid sequel. Granted, it was all about girl (or growl) power, but so was the first one. The new definitely lived up to the first. And I liked that it focused more on the others, and not just Raven, who is great, but I didn't like that she was the leader...

If they make a third, Aqua needs a more developed storyline.

All in all, you should give it a chance...

Who is Sara Paxton? What other films has she done and why do so many people seem to not like her at all?

Never liked her at all. Her acting is too "precocious young teenybopper who thinks she's all that".

She was the mermaid in Aquamarine and the meangirl in Sleepover. I've only seen Sleepover.
Those are her only roles that I know of.

I think she's a decent actress, decent enough for DCOMs anyway...I say give her a chance.

Uh....did I miss something. I apologize for my vagueness. What I meant by my statement was that I judged CG2 before I saw it. And honestly, I didn't think it was very good after I saw it. But, it couldn't have been worse than the crapfest that was the first movie.

And just because I didn't like CG2, doesn't mean that I don't accept good sequels. Last time I checked, everyone's allowed their own oppinion and has their own taste.

So please don't judge my views on movies based upon your own opinion, thank you.

I kinda have to agree with this. She sorta always plays this, "I'm the hottest girl on the planet," type girl, and when I see girls act like that and I don't agree with it, I find it irritating. Frankly, I just don't think she's THAT pretty. Besides Aquamarine and Sleepover (never seen Sleepover), she has a TV show. I think it's the one called, "Darcy's Wild Life," though it could be a different one... I forget. Actually, the only CURRENT Disney Channel girl you'll see me backing right now (as they're all a bit young for my tastes at this point, ha), is Kay Panabaker, just because she's such a cutie-pie.

Never thought the new style Disney Channel was a great source for fine acting. I did always support Hilary Duff though, and still do, not because she's a great actress, but because I have a big crush on her, ha. Though I think she's a bit too thin nowadays, and also disapprove of the capped teeth. Also always dug (and still do) Lindy Booth from Jett Jackson, Courtnee Draper from that stupid show "The Jersey" (though I hate sports), and Kirsten Storms because Zenon reminded me of Sailor Moon. Actually, I liked Courtnee because I thought she'd make a great live-action Sailor Jupiter. I really wanted them to gather up some of the Disney Channel girls and make a great live-action Sailor Moon movie...

Interesting you should mention that! There WAS going to be a Disney live-action Sailor Moon film. It was back in 1999 I believe. My little brother was a huge SM fan, so I know alot about it from him. They had gotten as far into production as to have a script and they actually signed on Geena Davis to play Queen Baryl. I do remember reading about it because I was a Zenon fan and Kirsten Storms WAS being considdered for the part of Serena/Sailor Moon. So why wasn't this film made? It's all because the ownership of Sailor Moon has been so messed up, especially in the U.S. Dic, the once popluar TV animation company, bought the rights to the hit Japaneese series in 1996. Diehard fans of the show were very uspet with Dic's dub because they added CG effects to the animation, changed all of the characters names, and in some cases, the plot of the episodes. What you remember the girls talking about wasn't always the way the conversation went in the original Japaneese version. Anyways, when Dic began to flounder, Disney bought them, thus aquiring Sailor Moon. Under Disney's wing, the second season, known as Sailor Moon R in Japan, was edited, dubbed, and CG effects were added. Disney started work on a movie after the show went number one on Cartoon Network's Toonami block of anime programs. However, they found a little too late that the rights Dic owned were only to the animated series. Furthermore, in Japan, they had live action stage shows of Sailor Moon, much like the U.S.'s Power Rangers Live, and those shows were released on home video. Japan also, at this point, was working on a live action TV series of Sailor Moon, seeing as over there Sailor Stars, the 5th and final season of the show, had already been over for almost 5 years. Unable to gain the rights, Disney scrapped the project. Then Dic gained back their independance by buying themselves back from Disney, and Sailor Moon went with it. Dic then bought the rights to the three animated movies made in Japan, dubbed them, and released them to VHS and DVD. Dic's rights were expiring because another company had bought the rights to the 3rd and 4th season, S and Super S. Dic released all of their episodes to DVD before the rights expired. The new company, whose name escapes me, made S and Super S in a way that was more respectful to the Japanese version, but still reatained the essence of the Dic show. Most of the voice cast returned, with the exception of the actress who voiced Serena. The new Serena had a harsh voice. Also, they eliminated story elements for obvious reasons, such as Sailor Uranus and Neptune being Lesbians. They played this off by saying they were cousins and editing out the kissing scenes. For whatever reason, S and Super S didn't reach the fan base the same way that the Dic version did. As a result, the final season, Sailor Stars, was never dubbed or legally released in the U.S. And when Japan started the live action show, they decided to end ALL U.S. rights for the series in hopes that an American distributer would buy the live action version and dub it. That never happened and probably will never happen. ADV films released the original Japaneese verisons of season 1-4, with episodes never released in America. They were in Japaneese and had english subtitles. The first and second seasons were limieted and are no longer in print. They are also impossible to find online for under $100. S and Super S may or may not be in print, but are much easier to loacate. If you want to see the bizarre final season, you'll have to go with bootlegg fan subs on DVD, which aren't bad. But brace youserlf. That season is bizarre! There are three new sailos, who are a popular boy group and when they transform, they transform into women!!!!! I think that's part of the reason why U.S. companies were very reluctant to touch it, but Super S ends with some plot holes that get wraped up in Stars. Anyways, I've strayed far off topic. Sorry.

Thanks for all that great info on Sailor Moon! I only knew about half of that, maybe less! I knew about Geena Davis, but didn't know she was actually signed on, and that's really cool that Kirsten Storms was actually being considered to play Sailor Moon! That would have been so awesome! What a shame it didn't happen! The original Zenon movie was where she struck me the most as Sailor Moon, and I have been posting my wishes for a live action Sailor Moon movie starring Kirsten Storms ever since Zenon 1 came put! I got into Sailor Moon by watching the DIC version, and it's true that version cut out a lot, even whole episodes, but I really liked the dubs in general. I only have the first DVD of the DIC dub, the first four DVDs of the S season, and the last two DVDs of Super S, plus the DVDs of the 3 films. The S, Super S, and movies are great because you get both the English Dubs AND the original Japanese! I have a lot of gaps to fill in though, and I want those season 1 and 2 sets of the original Japanese version so badly! I also want the rest of the DIC DVDs because that was how I first got hooked. Loved Sailor Mars' voice from the DIC version, even though Moon is my favorite character (she is tied for my top toon dreamgirl with Ariel and TinkerBell). I've seen the first 3 episodes of the live-action series only, but I want to see the rest (if YouTube still has them) and want to own them someday. I adore the live-action Sailor Mars, but didn't love the Sailor Moon too much. She was good, it's just that I envisioned Kirsten Storms, Kirsten Dunst, or a young Alicia Silverstone in that role, ha. What I've seen, I've liked, except that Luna is a plush toy and the girls all have dark hair until they transform. Anyways, I've always been dying to see an American live-action version of this. My dream cast would have Courtnee Draper (of the Jersey) as Jupiter, one of the aforementioned 3 girls as Moon, Elisabeth Harnois as Venus (oh, there's a Disney Channel girl I ADORE, she was in "My Date With the President's Daughter, perfection in that), Rachael Leigh Cook as Mercury, and maybe Kristen Kreuk of Smallville as Mars; or Kitagawa Keiko, the Japanese live-action Mars, if she spoke perfect English (I'm sure she doesn't though). Of course, this fantasy is if they were all the teens again and at the same time. If they made a movie now, I would probably suggest Kay Panabaker as Sailor Moon, though an unknown would probably be good. I've heard people suggest Sara Paxton. Man, I do NOT want that to happen, or any of the girls on the Nickelodeon shows or from Hannah Montanna, ha.

Sounds like a good cast. I never knew episodes of the live action show had been uploaded to Youtube. I'll deffinatley have to check them out and show my brother. I saw pictures and the Luna looked redicuous. I also saw pictures a long time ago of Dic's original treatment. I guess they were at one time going to make an American Sailor Moon half live action, half animation, where the girls would be live action, but become animated when they transform. Opening credits were made and I saw screencaps. Sailor Mercury was crippled and was flying around in a wheelchair! I was so greatful that Dic simply dubbed it instead of redoing it. I also liked the Dic dubs and never knew anything was wrong with it until my brother told me. I have seen all of the first, third, fouth, and fifth seasons in their uncut Japaneese form and they were great. My brother never got R on DVD when it was out and it's to expensive now. Plus he just grew out of it, but he'd deffinatley love to see some of the live action ones.

I've gotta save up so I can search for the first and second seasons! Yeah, I forgot to mention that bizarre live-action/animation hybrid! Search on YouTube and you can find a video of the whole demo reel for that thing! It is seriously messed up!!!! Oh, wait....

Here, check it out! : http://youtube.com/watch?v=wwQSWrA9CNg

So wrong, but at least the Sailor Moon girl was hot. I could imagine this on the new Disney Channel though, ha, if the cast was younger!

Oh man. That was so bad! lol. I want to show this to every fan who bashed the Dic dubs. Imagine how horrible the show could have been! After watching that, I watched a few short videos of the Japaneese live action show. Bizarre. Not as bizarre as the American proposed live action series, but interesting. I don't think they can top the animated version.

Hello,
Just wanted to give yall an update. In the new issue of Disney Adventures, there is a poster for the Return to Halloweentown Movie. Let me first say, the poster is crap. That being said, let me describe it since my scanners not working. Its basically looking through a keyhole with "Marnie" and Lucas on the other side. Lucas is putting a key in the hole. The caption says: Unlock the greatest secret. or something like that. Its terrible, if anyone else has it please scan. I will try to fix my scanner, but I dont know how long that will take......
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

He was in Buffalo Dreams as well. Anyways, he was on SVU (the BEST L&O series) as twins. Twist was, he was playing brother-and-sister twins, which while very hard to believe when he was in sister form, was very impressive acting nonetheless (in the end, it turns out they're supposed to be identical boy-boy twins, but a botched circumcision became a sex change and by the end of the episode, they found out and she was a boy again). After I saw him in the dual-roles, I just thought to myself, "Yep, that kid's going places"
That must have been one H-E-double-hockey-sticks of an episode lol...
I kid you not...I am watching the very episode you speak of right now on USA. And. It. Is. A. Doozy! He really looks like a girl!

Really spot-on acting though, as you said!

Man, I missed it?

He definitely showed acting chops in this eppy, especially as the girl. A lot of people said (online) that it wasn't a very good girl make-up, and that they could tell it was him. But when I saw the episode, I just kept thinking, "Man, they did a good job casting these twins! They look so much alike!" Then at the end, when she finds out she's really a he, and gets the haircut, I was thinking...Oh my god, that was really him in both roles?!?

After SofaKing mentioned the "Return to Halloweentown" poster... I went hunting. Sorry to disagree, but I think the poster looks great! I'm going to be very optomistic about this movie. Here's the poster:

And i also think the poster is intriguing. I wonder what the ultimate secret is? Is it really the ultimate secret? Will Marnie and Ethan form a relationship? Am I too interested in this movie?
