Yes, there really is a vault!

I can't reveal it's location for obvious reasons.

But basically after passing through heavilly armoured doors with many guards, the 'vault' is split into 5 further sub vaults each behind a numbered door.

Behind door 1 is every film and short subject that Disney has produced that they fear would outrage the public and besmerch the happy Disney name if ever released.

Behind door 2 is every film which Disney does see fit to release, however have decided to withdraw from sale, so they can maximize their profit, when they generously decide to release it.

Behind door 3 is every abandoned sequel that never came to fruition. Titles include '103 Dalmatians', 'Home on the Range II: Two of the characters have been made into burgers', 'Old Yeller II: Zombie Dog', 'Mary Poppins II: Nanny in the 1980s ghetto' and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame III: Extreme Makeover: Hump Edition'.

Door 4 is simply marked 'Michael (insert villainous 'Mwah ha ha ha' laugh here) Eisner's plans for world domination'. And I've never been in there.

The room behind door 5 has a constanstly maintained temerature of -17 degrees centigrade and contains Walt's cryogenically frozen head.

In case the 'Vault' is accidentally destroyed by fire, flood, nuclear war or evil CEO, an exact replica of the Vault and all its contents is located in Poland.

This is referred to as the 'Pole Vault'.

Wouldn't that be awesome if there really was a vault? It'd be the most awesome vault in the world. Oh, and...

Yeah there is a vault it's in my house in the basement. I'm surprised all of you didn't know that. You want the combination?
Well here it goes it's: 1-2-3-4-5

The only flaw in that is you don't know where I live. (except a couple of you) ;)

I don't know about an actual vault where they put the movies for five years or whatever, but in Kansas City or nearby Independence, Missouri (where I live. Don't remember exactly which city the vault's in.), there are a system of caves used for storage and office space. In one of the caves, there is a vault where celluloid prints of every Disney movie is stored/archived. Never been there, though. Would love to see it.
Think about this. Once bread becomes toast, you can't make it back into bread.

On one of the Platinum editions (forgot which one) there is a feature about the restoration and it shows a man punching in a code and walking into an airtight room. I think it is Bambi, but I am not sure.
Wants Muppet Babies on DVD!!
Hopefully if Duckales and Rescue Rangers sell well we will get it!! Don't forget Gummi Bears!

Yes, it was Bambi but he didn't have to punch a code or anything he just went into a room with rubber gloves and retrieved the orginial (the original, original) movie reel. I think the reel was in an air tight container because those movies do deteriorated so they preserve it some how.

I believe the place on the <i>Bambi</i> DVD was the Animation Research Library, which catalogs artwork from all of Disney's films. Pluto Region1 got to visit it and wrote a report about it here. But there aren't any discontinued DVDs there...as far as I know.

Yeah, I saw a TV show on that complex, I think it was Modern Marvels or something like that. It used to be some sort of mine, but when the minerals gave out, the mining company sold it to a developer. They turned it into the commercial complex that it is now, with interior walls to separate the tenants. A lot of companies that need climate strictly controlled store fragile or sensitive items there, so that includes the Disney prints.
Oh, I'm sorry, you're all standing...here, let me make you a chair!

One day lmao. :D

The sales didn't do so good when it first came out, so I am taking Disney still wants to make money off of it before actually putting it back into the Vault. :)

I'm surprised that it didn't do so well, Aladdin's my favorite Disney movie and I also thought it was pretty popular.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Since it's a Platinum title it's supposed to go back into the vault, but I don't know when that will be. It's been nearly two years since its release but I still see an abundance of slipcovered copies.

In England it's impossible to find Aladdin on DVD anymore, at least where I live, it's been like that for a while actually so I presume that soon it'll go OOP in America.
