In all seriousness, I'm slipping, because this is the first time I have heard of this news!
As seems to be the response in many of these cases. It is one of those things: it is IMPOSSIBLE to predict how the body will respond to these things, and if you are unaware of a defect, you are going in as completely unaware as Disney. I was looking at the WDW DVD (the History Channel Modern Marvels one) a few weeks ago, and the ride does look pretty intense. It is stories like this that made me frightened of rollercoasters to start with, but then again, riding the Tower of Terror made me WANT to ride more.
Tragic news indeed, especially coming so soon after the Mission: Space tragedy. Really though - what is the solution? Have a full medical check of every person before they enter the park, or close down any ride more extreme than the Mad Hatter Tea Cups?
