The majority of the movies is widescreen, but is good you check the format in the page of the movie, because some movies here, like "mulan", unfortunatedly, has been released in pan&scan format.BasilOfBakerStreet427 wrote:The most I've ever paid for a used DVD is 13 dollars(Harry Potter),but thanks for the DVDBrazil.com site, but one question. Is everything widescreen?

wow! Here in México dvds are really expensive, specially Disney ones.
almost all dvds cost around 25 dollars, but Disney dvds are 30 (that´s what Ipaid for my Lion King dvd), so boulding a dvd collection is certainly harder on this side of the border

Here in brazil is the same.Chernobog wrote:Thanx for the pic, Netty!!!
The only Disney special editions we have had in Spain are Beauty and the Beast (in the same packaging as the UK release), Monsters Inc (in a beautiful digipack) and the Lion King in a doble disc case.
If you both want to sse brazilian prices, go to www.dvdworld.com.br or www.submarino.com.br . The conversion rate to us dollars is divide by 2.9, so, a dvd that cost 40 reais, will cost about 14us dollars, both sites i told ya, ships to both spain and mexico.
And the dvdworld site are curentily with a promotion: "locos por disney" if you buy 4 or more disney dvd, you get this pooh doll:

The both sites don´t tel but all disney dvds here in brazil are encoded for region 1 and 4 and are in the ntsc format.
OK
Thiago
Here in méxico we get almost every 2 disc set like the Usa (escept for tarzan, atlantis an TENG), even some of them got released here fist (sleeping beauty), but all of them come in doble "fat" white alpha cases, the only one who got digipack was snowwhite.

Norway
The cover design in USA and Norway are awful. That French edition of Lion King looked great. I noticed it contained 3 DVDs. What are the contents?
Some of the Norwgian stores import the UK versions. But then the price is about $45. Unfortunately, Sleeping Beauty wasn't available in any stores in the city where I live, so I just ordered it from Amazon.com among wave 3 of Walt Disney Treasures. The US edition looked awful with all that fairy dust. We should learn from France. Wow, the French edition of Sleeping Beauty looked absolutely stunning. Maybe the philosophy of many of the countries is that the cover should contain characters that are easily recognisable by kids? They look like noisy advertisements. Too bad. Well, at least I have the UK collector's editions of Beauty and the Beast and Atlantis. And oh, my Walt Disney Treasures collection and Stanley Kubrick's Collection look great.

Wisedom comes suddenly
It contains the 2 discs, which feature the exact same contents of the US release (apart from missing the Making of the Circle of Stars Video) in full French or English soundtracks and text, and the French language Special Edition Soundtrack CD.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

They should be up again now Joe. Warning, the big picture links link to much bigger image files this time, as I have not resized them!

Thanks for the links! I wonder if any online stores located in Brazil ship their DVDs to the US?
