Loomis, ħaqqek dan il-premju (il-Mickey tad-deheb) talli ddaħħakna lkoll fil-forum. Ċert li bħalissa inti kuntent ħafna u nistgħu nisimgħuk tifraħ mill-Awstralja. Ħaġa wahda nitlob minn għandek...li dejjem ikollok il-qalziet f'postu, u jekk bħalissa tinstab bla qalziet, sib wieħed u ilbsu malajr.

Nifraħ - għal darb' oħra - lir-rebbieħa l-oħrajn kollha bħal Pluto Region 1, Luke, Escapay u l-bqija...

Narakhom!

It's in Maltese. Here's what I wrote:

Loomis, you deserve this prize (the Golden Mickey) for making all of us laugh in the forum. I'm sure that at present you're very happy, and we can hear you cheering from Australia. I ask for only one thing...that your pants will always be in its rightful place, and if at this moment you're pantless, find one quickly and put it on.

I'm happy - once more - for the other winners such as Pluto Region 1, Luke, Escapay and the rest...

See ya!

Will replace our shoes??! :? (someone please translate that one!)

Way to go Pasta 67, for winning new member of the year!

And congrats to the Pantless one (Loomis - your pants link in your siggie was not working last I tried!) for his most amusing member win.

Hoorray to both of you!

Ladies and gents, I give you bambifan56!!

-----

Most message boards are filled with semi-illiterate members who substitute numbers where words should be (Such as 2 – too, to, or two). To commemorate this special occasion we present the golden Mickey for the most intelligent poster on the UD forum. The nominees are:

2099net
AwallaceUNC
Loomis
Luke

And the member who can say they are slightly brighter than a board full of pseudo-intellects is:

2099net
Image
This is 2099net's 3rd Golden Mickey and the second time that he has won for Most Intelligent Member of the Year (he previously won the honor in 2004). He has a total of 5 nominations this year.

Congratulations, Netty! Another much-deserved award! Your intellect brings us all up a level. Thanks also to bambifan56 for the speech!

Join us tomorrow night for the Friendliest/Kindest Member of the Year award!

Oh! I won something! I won! [Runs up to podium, hugs Aaron on the way past, kisses bambifan56]

Wow. I didn't expect this. Well, that's a lie actually. I WAS nominated, so I had a BIT of an inkling. I think I would have been MORE surprised if I'd won and I wasn't nominated. Then you'd be like all "hey, who's the dude without the pants up there"? Still, this is an honour and I have to say that this award rightly belongs to everybody on this board for tolerating my pantsless antics for well over three years now. For now...

I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!

In typical British fashion, I didn't expect to win, have come under prepeared and think the attentions somewhat embarrassing. :) We're just not cut out to be winners I'm afraid. But thanks to everyone who voted.

Anyhow here is my speech, read out in a nervous, trembling voice, as sweat runs down my brow and starts to sting my eyes (making me look and sound like I'm crying - but it's just nerves - honestly. I'm not some slave to my emotions, honest).

"Posts from members that say that something about Disney, DVDs or Loomis' pants always interesting to me, as they fit in to one of 6 categories. There are known knowns; there are things I know I know. I also know there are known unknowns; that is to say I know there are some things I do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones I don't know I don't know. There are also things that are known unknown known unknowns; that is things I think I know, but do others think I know what I think I know, or are they thinking I don't know what I think I know, or do they just know that I think I don't know what I know so it's in effect unknown? Or they're just fluff posts, or spam."

Oh, and I still have trouble spelling. So that rains on everyone's parade. You all voted for a thickie. :)

It's an old saying, in which when somebody like Luke dies, someone will take over.

Unfortunately, I think Luke's work is overlooked, and that if he did die, the site would have to be closed since I can't imagine anyone having as much patience as he does.

Let's be thankful life isn't similar to my speeches!

Congrats to both Loomis and Netty! :)

2099net, I'm happy for your winning the award. You deserved it, as the quality of your posts is almost always first class.

Hmmm... I still haven't forgotten the "Duff! Duff! Duff! I hate you Duff!" song which I you, I presume wrote lyrics for. It made me laugh...even if I've heard of Duff, but can't quite place her at the moment. :D

Maybe, we should all do an online IQ Test and see how we rank with Netty.
