She's giving her acceptance speech from behind the steel door, but I can't quite make out what she's saying. Oh well....it was a juicy topic while it lasted.

Great speech Wondy! :thumb:

Just like the Breaking News announcement, maybe we won't have to congratulate anyone. :P

Aw, thank you! :D

Anyway, it doesn't surprise me that the "Tell me the good people" thread won, though I thought that the Republican thread would actually win the battle for the award. And as this really isn't a kind of award to congratulate...I'll just exit for now.

Congrats Luke for the awesome Toy Story banner. I forgot how awesome it was until you reminded us for it, now I wish I remembered and voted . Anyhow congrats again and that was a funny speech...er...confession, PlutoRegion1.

Great speech, Wonderlicious! :thumb:
I don't remember that controversial thread that well. Then again, I tend to stay out of threads like that. Oh well...here's a nod to the most voted controversial topic...(don't know what emoticon to use)...

Looks like I missed a couple of the awards. Congrats, Luke, for the Toy Story banner. And I'll not congratulate the controversial thread.

This was the FIRST controversial thread I had ever stumbled into as a member here and boy was it a doozy. It still surprises me that these types of threads/arguments are tolerated. I had not read all the contenders for this nomination, I read "Guru Banned," "Why Would Anyone Be a Republican?", and "Tell Me...."

"Tell Me...." totally deserves to win. I am surprised people are even speaking to each other after that one.

Nice tactful speech Aaron!

Wow, I had totally forgotten about that one, and the level of my involvement. Let's not open THAT can of worms EVER again!

Good call on the win though!

So far, so good. I agree with all the nominations and all the winners.

Congratulations to all of those who have received their Mickey's, and a great big UD congratulations to all the nominees. It is dedicated work like this that makes this site what it is.

I missed that controversial thread and haven't read it yet but I'll congratulate princessnowbunny all the same. :)

There's one thing that bothers me, and I don't want to sound stupid here, but when were we supposed to vote for these awards? I don't remember seeing anything about them these last three and a half months that I've been a member (except of course this thread...). Can someone enlighten me?

Please welcome the other Aaron, ZOLTACK!

-----

What makes a forum? Not only is a forum made up of people, fancy backgrounds or banners but most importantly it has many topics or threads. In these topics we can share our thoughts and feelings with in the confines of the regulations. With more people joining the forum (there are over 3000 now), more people will create new topics for us to discuss. So how can you tell whether the topic is popular or not? It's not the amount of responses it gets but by how many people actually read the article and was either informed, entertained or brought the community together by it. The nominees for Thread/Topic of the Year are...

There was a thread started by Aaron back on May 28th, so it is long buried in the Off Topics pages by now. <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... 5060">"3rd Annual UD Forum Awards - Voting."</a>
