Congrats on the wins, Luke and Aaron! Both reviews were excellently written, and even if they weren't, you guys still deserve your awards for the amount of time you put into all of your reviews. Just be wary of Joan on the way out the stage...

Man, congrata(hic)lations everybody. (Hic).

Wow, either I'm getting drunker (hic) or the room is spinning.

Watch out everyone! The room is spinning!

(The drinks are free right?)

Haha, great show ichabod! You should have her daughter come visit and talk about her stint on that stupid show "I'm a 'Celebrity,' Get Me Out of Here!" :P

Thank you everyone for all your kind words! The speech was really fun to put together!
pinkrenata wrote:Awesome speech, Kram! It was great to hear from Figment and the Dreamfinder especially! Yay Theme Parks Forum!
Thanks! But I really shoud say Thank You because I borrowed the picture from one of your old posts. :)

Timon/Pumbaa fan wrote:I almost forgot, great speech Kram! Loved how you brought Figment and Dreamfinder in to this. Though seeing the creation of the Theme Parks Forum won, it's almost like you knew the winner.
Lol, I didn't even think of that when I was making it. I was going to do Ben Franklin and Amos as the special guests then I realized how stupid I was and remembered it was Edison who invented the light bulb  so then I was like hmmmm what's Disney and is about ideas? Then that tune popped in my head and we have our special guests!! Lol, it's great that the Theme Parks Idea won!!

btw...Congratulations Luke for the two wins as Best Forums and for all of us for desiring and getting a Theme Parks Forum!!! :D :D :D

Also, Congrats to Luke and Aaron for their CD reviews!! :D :D :D

I'm flattered, man! I don't even remember posting a picture of them. I wish Dreamfinder was still around. I'm going on the new ride for the first time this Fall and am a little wary to do so. :(

You people are just too much...the wealth needs to be shared. I've run out of room for Golden Mickeys...

I'm glad that Aaron was able to get one for his CD review. Honestly, he and Renata have done almost as many of those as me and, I feel, have done a consistently better job, so it's nice for at least one of their efforts to be recognized in this regard. (Especially since the CD roundups rarely yield any feedback, private or public.) I feel like they've definitely added value to the site and that was a very nice speech to put them in perspective, Dave! So congrats to Aaron for High School Musical (and all the other great CD reviews he's done, even when the CDs are anything but great) and recognition to Renata for her stellar work too!

I think Disney have probably hired them to dress like that to promote the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie, either that or they're both completely insane!
Yes, its us, live from the green room. Johnny and I are already in promo-mode for the upcoming release of POTC II. Our next appearance will be at the upcoming POTC red carpet event at Disneyland on June 24th! Make sure you get to Target and buy all those POTC toys (may I recommend the talking parrot?)

So I'm here, live from the Green room. We've just been hob-knobbing in the green room with Gore, Orlando and Keira, oh and several of the UD forum luminaries including DisneyPrincess, TheLittleMermen, CJ, DisneyKid, and Loomis (who appears to be under the table already) It's a fully open bar and loads of free champagne back there. I think Wolfgang is catering tonight....

Oh and congrats to those winners we missed - Luke for his double Mickies (better cut back on the sauce!); and Luke and Aaron for their shared win for CD reviews, and those two UD forums of the year... The presenters have also been wonderful - thanks to LucyLover1986, DaveWadding, fidget, and Kram, as well as master of ceremonies, Aaron and our illustrious red carpet maven Joan (err, Ichabod). I may not make it through til next week so I'm thanking y'all in advance for the wonderful coverage this year... (hiccup)

Johnny: Pluto, let's ditch this place and head over to the Spider Club!

Pluto: Not on your life! We have to protect your reputation! What about the tabloids?! Or worse - Joan! Yikes, here she comes! Come on, lets hide under this table with Loomis! Loomis, scoot over and give me some more of that champagne.... Where's the awards after party? I've got to cover it for UD! (garble garble...)

Oh wait, there's John Lasseter - I've got to get that UD Awards exclusive interview!

Congratulations dudes! You both are two very deserving canidates for an award. I'm sure everyone here, including you two, is glad that your hard work is being recognized, so once again, great job Luke and Aaron! Keep 'em coming. :)

It was quite an old post from when we were talking about what we want to change/miss from the parks...yeah, the new ride is...cute. It seems dumbed down from what it replaced (the replacement of the original). I don't remember the very original version that well since I was only 4 when I rode it, so I don't know if the new one is any better or worse. It was cute though and did well to keep the theme of the pavillion. They have a nice nod to classic "Disney scientists" in the beginning or maybe the queue. It was cool.

Anyway, back to the UD Awards!

 Lol, that was a great backstage peek, PlutoRegion1!! It's like those interstitials from the DCA interviews of the cast and crew on the Aladdin DVD.

I forgot to say, DaveWadding, I really like your speech! It didn't suck at all. It was very well written and felt real, unlike my silly one :P

I felt bad for you, so I took the liberty of taking one of your Golden Mickeys from you....

Pals, as much as everyone respects your Copying and Pasting skills, I'm gonna lop a few of those off and put them on a separate line so that everyone doesn't get that unsightly horizontal scrollbar. Come to think of it, I might have messed things up for people on 800 x 600 with my post. Now that I'm using a computer with 1440 x 900 setting, I tend to forget what things will look like for most people and me when I'm not on a laptop.

Uh.....whe.....huh....what?

Oh man, I feel like I've been asleep for days. It's almost like I've been, I don't know, off the forums for a few days or something. Wait, where'd everybody go? Dammit, Lassiter was supposed to wake me up before the intervention!

Oh well, my congrats goes out to Luke & Aaron for their fantastic CD reviews! Both are indeed deserving of Golden Mickeys!
