I think of all the ones mentioned in the thread already, the one I'm most longing for is the oft-delayed-to-the-point-where-I'm-really-getting-pissed-off-at-BVHE 2-disc Special Edition of Lilo & Stitch. It'd be perfect to release this with Leroy & Stitch (which I don't care for), and Disney hasn't said a word yet, making its release this year very unlikely.

But surely those few shorts are on the various Classic Cartoon sets? (2 of the 3 are on Classic Cartoon Favorites: Volume 4
Starring Chip 'N Dale
.
That's still no reason not to include them in the Treasures.

Most of the shorts in which C&D appear are likely to be included in the forthcoming Donald Duck volumes - given that all of the Donald Duck shorts will indeed be included in said Donald Duck volumes. A C&D Treasure is therefore likely to be 80-90% "double-dip". If you think that's perfectly all right, I really don't have a problem with that - I'd just like to make sure it's an "informed decision".

I hope that explanation wasn't totally unworthy of your wait.

Or would you ask Disney to release a Minnie Mouse Treasure? A Daisy Duck Treasure? A Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar Treasure?
I understand that C&D were in a bunch of the Donald Duck shorts, but they also had several by themselves. Including them in the Chronological Donald WDT's would be great, but I, for one, would gladly pay for the 'double dip' if they put out a WDT of all the Chip'n'Dale shorts.

Well, to be a bit more exact, the "several by themselves" appear to be only three. Then there are about twenty more, most of which are DD shorts. That's why I wouldn't really wish for an exclusively C&D Treasure

But, fair enough, I'd also pay for the C&D Treasure if it appears. The Treasures, all in all, are a bargain anyway.

I'd like to see Disney do more 2-disc special editions for films not on the Platinum schedule list. It would be great if they could return to the Masterpiece Edition title, make that into a line for excellent movies that deserve 2-disc editions and have yet to get one. Like The Rescuers, The Black Cauldron, and The Great Mouse Detective. Since so much of the bonus content for the current 2-disc editions of older films have been a mixed bag of material, much of it not pretaining to the film at all - it seems like a good idea. I'm sure Disney still has a bunch more vaulted period content not yet committed to DVD, and since those movies are so recent, it should be easier to get those involved to comment on the films. The 70's and 80's are the only decades for Disney that have gotten the cold shoulder treatment, special-edition wise. Maybe they might even consider a smaller boxset with 3 or 4 movies and a bonus disc... just a thought, I'd rather see them get individual releases. But Disney is weird in considering what the best option for these movies are.

Also- Fun and Fancy Free and The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad deserve special editions. I don't like to see any classics being neglected.

I just want all the Chip and Dale shorts together in one big collection. They are one of the funniest set of cartoons ever, and Donald was at his 'maddest' in those shorts. I wouldn't care if they combine Chip 'n' Dale with the Bee and gave us those shorts together. Just to have all of C&D in one WDT would be a great collection to own and watch over and over.

Song of the South
Pinocchio
Platinum Edition
Dumbo Big Top Edition (currently) (hoping for 2-disc Special Edition)
Peter Pan (current Edition) (why did Disney take this off of the Platinum Edition Line? This movie should have stayed on, and it shouldn't have been taken off because of a silly 3D Tinker Bell movie)
101 Dalmatians Platinum Edition
The Sword in the Stone Gold Collection (currently) (hoping for 2-disc Special Edition)
The Jungle Book Platinum Edition
The Aristocats Gold Collection (currently) (hoping for 2-disc Special Edition when The Aristocats II comes out)
Robin Hood Gold Collection (currently) (hoping for 2-disc Special Edition)
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 25th Anniversary Edition (currently) (hoping for a little better release, even though this Edition will suffice)
The Rescuers (currently) (hoping for a 2-disc boxed edition with it's sequel)
The Fox and the Hound 25th Anniversary Edition
The Black Cauldron Gold Collection (currently) (hoping for 25th Anniversary Edition in 4 years)
The Great Mouse Detective (hoping for a 2-disc Special Edition. Why didn't a 20th Anniversary Edition come out this year?)
Oliver and Company (currently the only edition) (hoping for a 2-disc REAL Special Edition)
The Little Mermaid Platinum Edition
The Rescuers Down Under (currently Gold Collection) (hoping for a 2-disc Boxed Set with the original movie)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (currently the only edition) (hoping for a 10th Anniversary Edition. Why didn't Disney put this out?
Hercules (currently the only edition) (hoping for a 10th Anniversary Edition next year)

Atlantis: The Lost Empire (the Collector's Edition is on my Christmas List, too)

Lady and The Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure. lol The dogs in the first film are so cute.

I want The Little Mermaid because I heard that it is a good movie. I hope it isn't scary or sad like Bambi or the Lion King.

Bye

I swear I didn't mean to say that, it was a mistake. I just can't believe I made it, I really think about these things. But I always have at least 2 or 3 other webpages going on at the same time. Well, in that case I might rent it first.
