What Movies or TV shows do you want to get a DVD release?

1) The Complete Tex Avery - MGM classic stuff. The funniest stuff ever.

2) The Warners Eleven!!! - Black Coal And The Seven Dwarfs included.

Oh, I forgot about these. There's a DVD available of the former in France, though I believe some of the cartoons are edited.

EDIT: Oh, and more French and Saunders and Malcolm in the Middle, especially in Region 2.

4) Double Idemnity - Even if Universal craps this one out, it still worth owning as the single best example of classic film noir.

Universal's releasing it as a TWO-DISC set on August 29, as part of their Legacy Series. Here's hoping it gets the treatment like To Kill A Mockingbird or The Sting (two-disc set with commentary, making of-docs, related featurettes, trailers, etc.) as opposed to The Deer Hunter (two-disc set with just commentary, deleted scenes, and trailer)

Anyways, thought of a few movies that I have yet to see on DVD:

Rhapsody in Blue - a 1945 Gershwin biopic, they play it on TCM probably only once a year and I keep forgetting to tape it. I'm pretty sure WB has the release rights since it's an MGM title.

Sunday in New York - a Jane Fonda/Rod Taylor romcom, got a good copy from TCM, but I'd like it if MGM released it on DVD...

1492: Conquest of Paradise - have never seen it, but I heard it's an oft-requested title, directed by Ridley Scott. According to imdb, Paramount has the distribution rights...that explains a lot...

I've got to agree with Maerj about Max Headroom. What would be cool is if a set could contain the UK and the US series.

I've thought of one more:

Spice Girls: A DVD of all the Spice Girls videos, plus a few live performances too. It really is money in the bank for them all, I can't think why one hasn't been released yet.

Sunday in New York is very good. I hope it is released soon. I too have a vhs copy but would like the dvd. Have you ever seen Any Wednesday? It has Jason Robards Jr. and Jane Fonda. It is good too. It has yet to be released on dvd either, but hopefully it will soon.

There's alot of old movies on TCM that I'd like to see released, especially Red Skelton's movies!

Wasn't this originally paired with the above mentioned Laff-A-Lympics? I wouldn't know, because the UK only got the Hanna-Barbera shows individually. Anyhow, Cavey rocks (and a bonus, I would like one of two of the Flintstone cartoons where Cavey works at a newspaper office, with Wilma and Betty as female reporters)

A Very Peculiar Practice S2
This is perhaps the ulimate holy grail of TV on DVD for me. Its a BBC show written by Andrew Davies (best known for his BBC adaptations of works, such as Pride and Prejudice and Bleak House - but this is original). Its a wonderful black-comedy-drama. S1 was released about a year or so ago, and the same company keeps promising S2 (it was licenced out by the BBC). I would love to have S2, because it's twice as good as S1! (and S1 is close to perfection!)

Ooo, I don't know about that last one, but I want all the other stuff you mentioned! The Flintstones show you mentioned was also one I used to love when I was VERY little. It was shown SUPER EARLY on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. I think it's the one called "The Flintstones Comedy Show." It also had teen Pebbles and Bamm Bamm solving crimes with Shmoo, a la Scooby and the gang, if memory serves me. Plus, I think that might also be when Dino had his own short cartoons chasing the cave-mouse, but that may have been on a different Flintstones Spin-off, not sure.

Lady in the Water - Like I said before this movie is one of the best horror films I've seen in a long time. It doesn't have any gore it's just flat out suspenseful and that's why I like it.

Thank You For Smoking - This has been out for a long time yet I still haven't heard a DVD release of it yet. So hopefully it'll come soon cuz this movie really rocked.

- The Phantom Tollbooth (Its been out on VHS for a long time, but it hasn't been released on DVD yet. My mother's friend taped it on HBO Family and give it to me about 5 years ago. That film is the best thing Chuck Jones ever did in a long time.)

Hopefully, this one will come to DVD since "My Summer Story" recently did. As for me, all I have right now is the first release of A Christmas Story (BAD release) and the others on VHS. The PBS stuff is on home recordings I bought online. They say it will never be released because of issues over the music rights...
