Yes, I will (hypothetically) be buying Blu-ray titles even without the proper hardware to fully appreciate it. Problem is, I don't even know whether it's worth it anymore...
Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

As long as we don't quite know what's up with TWO formats on the horizon, I'll just wait and see and be in no hurry to upgrade.
The new format is most likely going to be backwards-compatible, so that we can play the DVDs we have now on the new players. Well, in fact, if it isn't, it's going to be harder to make me buy into it.

Remember when Disney DVDs first started coming out they would offer a $5 rebate if you upgraded from VHS to DVD? You had to cut the proof of purchase from the video and DVD to get the rebate. They did this for several years (2000-2003), but I don't think they do it anymore. If they offered a rebate for upgrading from DVD to Blu-Ray, I would consider it before I had the Blu-Ray player and then only for my favorites.
...and so you two are absolutely identical? You know I'm sure I can get you a part in Toy Story 3... I'm sorry. Are we back? All right girls...lovely talking to you.
