Your Top 5 List excluding Platinum & Treasures
This titles for me include a very interesting collection of features besides the good movie, although the last two are not Disney films and the extras are quite a few still better than the rest editions...
1Alice in wonderland
2Pirates of the Caribbean
3Monsters Inc.
4Spirited away
5Nausicaa

1. Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Collector's Edition (R2) - This one's a treat from the moment you see the packaging. The unique slipcover opens to reveal one of the most the most insightful DVDs Disney has ever released. The visual commentary is a treat to hear/watch. The 2nd disc's two-hour making-of is perhaps Disney's finest documentary to date (rivaled only by Lilo and Stitch's doc). This one is better than all the Platinums in my opinion, and deserves a recommendation as a film and as a DVD.
2. Lilo and Stitch - Special Edition (R2) - I think everyone knows the film, but not many are familiar with this wonderful DVD release. The first disc is identical to the single-disc release. It boasts a wonderful commentary, the teasers for the movie and a few clips/games. The second disc holds the meaty 2 hour making-of. It's one of the best I've seen, and it has the advantage of being shot while making the film, and as a result the feature has this almost humble quality to it. This one also gets my recommendation, and is again better than most of the Platinum releases.

- 3. Dinosaur - Collector's Edition (R2) - No fluff, no god awful games. Just good making of features and commentary.
4. Pirates of the Caribbean - 2 Disc Special Edition - The featurettes are some of the finest on a DVD release, and the 3 commentaries are a welcome addition.
5. Tarzan - 2 Disc Special Edition (R2) - Great featurettes, especially about the music of the film. Commentary is a joy to hear, and there are the trailers for the film, which is always a huge plus!
