What Disney Movie Did You Just Watch? Vol. 3

Snow White. It was very good being the first animated movie. I never expected Toy Story, because I think Pixar got practice doing commercials to sparkle their animation. I think that would've happened to Walt too if he had more time.

Lilo and Stitch: ... right now. LOVE IT! One of my favorites.

I was just thinking that the reason for the movie being so great, is because they focused so much more on the story and characters than the animation (not that is bad); kind of the way Pixar does.

Also, because of this, the movie flows naturally. Nothing here feels forced. The comedy is great, and when you reach the emotional moments... they actually feel that way and not placed there just because they HAD to be.

An even though it is one of my favorites I don't think I'll be upgrading it just because of the extras. What matters the most is the movie, and this one has another perfect video transfer as well as an incredible use of the 5.1 sound.

EGJ, I know it doesn't seem right now like it seems you need to upgrade this feature, but trust me. If the US edition gets the documentary that is available for Region 2/4, you're in for one of the biggest DVD treats to debut yet. This is the most honest documentary you'll ever see. There's hardly any self praising because the timing of its filming was all during production. Trust me, you'll be wanting this.

I'll just wait and see then... but I doubt it. There have been movies I've bought the most special most special of the special edtions in terms of extras and in the end I either don't watch them all or if I did, never again.

I also notice what the UD revew says about the movie feeling tight; aside from the scenes I complain. That's probably the reason is so rewatchable. Every scene there is there for a reason and nothing is out of place, so you're not wasting your time with extended scenes or unnecesary ones.

Finishing Snow White. Last night I was watching it but left it when SW fell asleep.

...if it wasn't because is too late already, I'd have started it from the beginning.




.... don't know if it is because I'm starting to really like ths movie or is it because I'm appreciating it more because of how much effort it cost me to finally find the DVD but this movie s starting to grow on me a LOT. I feel like watching it almost everytime.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

I had never seen this one but always wanted to pick it up. Got the chance once my Reward Zone gift certificate came in the mail so I picked it up and watched it tonight. Very good! I enjoyed it a lot, although was almost shocked at the condition of the picture. I didn't expect it to look like Cinderella, but gosh I think the only one I've seen that's worse are the Chip and Dale shorts from the Classic Cartoons line!!

I'll definitely watch it again. I loved the narration, made me feel like I was watching Disney shorts on the Disney Channel when I was younger!

Yesterday, Fantasia . A shame with the transfer... but what a GREAT movie. It must have been great to watch the original way it was meant to be seen.

I especially loved that it was 2 hours long because it takes it time to develop and make people feel comfortable and fully enjoy it.

I think this movie will grow on me the same way Snow White has.


Right now, The Sword in the Stone. It maybe not one of my favorites, probably the episodic nature has something to do with it.... but at the same time because of this it has a certain charm to it.

The video transfer is great!

And with this one, I'm done watching all the Disney movies I have on my HDTV!!! ; that is, until I get my hands on Robin Hood that I finally found a place to get it near me used.

I rented this, and I wasn't sure if I'd ever seen it, but now that I am sure, I'm glad that I did. It may be short, but it was definetely above average, and it had the right length for what it was. It's a shame about the very small censoring, but still, a good flick.

Treasure Planet

I bought this a while ago for £5, but until a few days ago I hadn't seen any of it. So, it was 11:00 pm, not tired enough to sleep, I thought 'oh, i'll put a movie on' and it seemed like the perfect time to watch TP.

I was worried that TP might be too futuristic for my tastes, but i'm happy to say I was wrong. I think that what I liked most about it is that the 'bad guy' also had a conscience, which I can't remember happening in past classics (I may be wrong!). Overall, I'm very glad that I picked this movie up, the movie was fast paced, it was attention grabbing, and best of all, the bad guy was also pretty nice at the same time .

For the first time in years. So, like watching it for a first time.

An OK movie. A shame becuase with so many good characters.... but everything feels like just a short. Everything is too quick and not developed.

Did you mean "how bad"? Not sure if you were asking my opinion, but if you read the review of it, the reviewer also agrees that the transfer was bad, and maybe I was a little harsh (I'm not that much of a transfer snob). Although, yes, the picture was not too great at times, but I really do think it is worth it to own on DVD. I doubt they will make another release and spend the time on it that they should have

I still say buy it! Best Buy has it for $16.99 I think, but I don't know what prices are like in PR. It was an enjoyable film and I got used to the not-so-perfect picture

I saw The Lion King a few days ago. You know what gets me even more than the death of Mufasa? The scene where he's teaching Simba a lesson, and Simba says: "We're pals right? And we'll always be together, right?". That line really gets to me. As for the rest of the movie, not much else to add. One of my all time favourites. The opening scene still gives me the chills, despite multiple viewings. I've also gotten used to the comedy that comes only moments after a dramatic scene.

Monsters Inc.

I forgot how funny that movie is. I was watching it last night on the Disney Channel I love the part where they're ridding the doors and they're screaming... it just cracked me up. I gotta get this movie.

You see good wholesome humor is just as funny as gross adult humor.

Two nights ago I watched Swiss Family Robinson. I had it as part of the Vault Disney 4 pack and had just never watched it. I hadn't seen it since it was on the Disney Channel sometime when I was younger and I was surprised how well I remembered it! It was fun to see the house they built- reminded me of going to the Magic Kingdom.

Last night BF and I watched Monsters Inc. It was only the second time I had seen it and BF had never seen it. I bought it when it was only $12.99 at Best Buy recently and am so glad I did! It's one of my favorite Pixar movies- after Finding Nemo that is

And I REALLY hope they make an attraction at WDW based on the door scene. It would be SO fun!

The last Disney movie I watched was my Vault Disney Pollyanna dvd.

Whenever I want to feel good, I watch this movie- and play the Glad Game! (Lord knows we all have those days when we need to play this game)

The story is so amazing, I love Hayley Mills. My favorite part as a child and even now, is at the end when all of the town comes to visit her and bring her gifts. It was fun to see what the people were carrying in their hands!

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad:

I didn't like that much the Mr. Toad story and found out that the Ichabod story is so good.... but more than the "scary" stuff how the story is narrated.

Just watched Home On The Range for the first time. I thought it was fairly cute, with a good amount of humor. I'm surprised so many people have a total distaste for it.
