I've decided I will post the lyrics for each song, maybe one or two a day.

Today, I'm going to post the lyrics to "Hung Up" (which is the first single), and then "Get Together", which is the second song on the CD. "Get Together" is also one of my all time favorite Madonna songs! It's that good!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hung Up"

Time goes by so slowly (6x)

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Time goes by so slowly for those who wait
No time to hesitate
Those who run seem to have all the fun
I'm caught up
I don't know what to do

Time goes by so slowly
Time goes by so slowly
Time goes by so slowly
I don't know what to do

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Ring ring ring goes the telephone
The lights are on but there's no-one home
Tick tick tock it's a quarter to two
And I'm done
I'm hanging up on you

I can't keep on waiting for you
I know that you're still hesitating
Don't cry for me
'cause I'll find my way
You'll wake up one day
But it'll be too late

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Every little thing, every little thing
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call, waiting for your call
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Time goes by so slowly (4x)
So slowly (14x)
I don't know what to do

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

Every little thing, every little thing
I'm hung up
I'm hung up on you
Waiting for your call, waiting for your call
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you

"Get Together"

It's an illusion
Get together (It's an illusion)
It's an illusion
Get together (It's an illusion)

Down, down, down in your heart
Find, find, find the secret
Turn, turn, turn your head around
Baby we can do it, we can do it all right

Do you believe in love at first sight?
It's an illusion, I don't care
Do you believe I can make you feel better?
Too much confusion, come on over here

Can we get together?
I really, I really want to be with you
Come on, check it out with me
I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too

I search, I search, I search my whole life
To find, to find, to find the secret
And all I did was open my eyes
Baby we can do it, we can do it all right

Do you believe we can change the future?
Do you believe I can make you feel better?

Can we get together?
I really, I really want to be with you
Come on, check it out with me
I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too
Can we get together?
I really, I really want to be with you
Come on, check it out with me
I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too

It's all an illusion
There's too much confusion
I'll make you feel better
If it's bitter at the start, then it's sweeter in the end

Do you believe in love at first sight?
It's an illusion, I don't care
Do you believe I can make you feel better?
Too much confusion, come on over here

Can we get together?
I really, I really want to be with you
Come on, check it out with me
I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too
Can we get together?
I really, I really want to be with you
Come on, check it out with me
I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too

It's all an illusion
There's too much confusion
I'll make you feel better
If it's bitter at the start, then it's sweeter in the end
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll post more, either tomorrow, or Sunday.

Wow, I really like the first single, even though I haven't heard it on the radio. Since it debuted at #20, I'm kind of surprised, but I suppose my city is a little late catching on. We usually A.) arrive late in the pop music scene or B.) just the ship super early. I'm glad Madonna has another hit on her hand. Maybe she can surpass Mariah Carey as the female with the most #1 hits? :)

Rumoured to be the second single, here are the lyrics for the third track on the album:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Sorry"

Je suis désolé
Lo siento
Ik ben droevig
Sono spiacente
Perdóname

I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before
(repeat)

I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say you're sorry
I've heard it all before
And I can take care of myself
I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say 'forgive me'
I've heard it all before
And I can't take it anymore

You're not half the man you think you are
Save your words because you've gone too far
I've listened to your lies and all your stories (Listen to your stories)
You're not half the man you'd like to be

I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say you're sorry
I've heard it all before
And I can take care of myself
I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say 'forgive me'
I've seen it all before
And I can't take it anymore

Don't explain yourself cause talk is cheap
There's more important things than hearing you speak
Mistake me cause I made it so convenient
Don't explain yourself, you'll never see

Forgive me...

(Sorry, sorry, sorry)
I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before
(repeat)

I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say you're sorry
I've heard it all before
And I can take care of myself
I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say 'forgive me'
I've seen it all before
And I can't take it anymore

I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say you're sorry
(Don't explain yourself cause talk is cheap)
I've heard it all before, And I can take care of myself
(There's more important things than hearing you speak)
I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know
Please don't say 'forgive me'

I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before
I've heard it all before

I'll be VERY pleased if Sorry is a single, as it's my favorite on the CD.

As for the other songs, they're all hit or miss with me. I don't care for Jump, Isaac, or Push. Get Together has grown on me, and I of course love Hung Up as well as How High and Like It Or Not.

Here are the lyrics for the fourth track off the album. It is a very unique song, for sure, and unlike anything Madonna has ever done before. It is also interesting to note that this is the only collaboration between Madonna and Mirwais (who produced the bulk of her past two albums).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Future Lovers"

I'm gonna tell you about love
Let's forget your life
Forget your problems
Administration, ills, and loathes
Come with me

In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance

(Spoken:)
In the demonstration of this evidence
Some call it religion
This is not a coincidence
Would you like to try?

Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride
Their ambitions high
Would you like to try?
Let me be your guide
Cut inside your pride
Future lovers hide love inside their eyes

In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance

Love controlled by time
Future lovers shine for eternity
In a world that's free
Put away your past
Love will never last
If you're holding on to a dream that's gone

I'm gonna tell you about love
Would you like to try?

In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance
In the evidence of its brilliance

There's no love like the future love

Come with me

Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride
Their ambitions high
Would you like to try?
Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride there in mission style
Would you like to try?

(In the evidence of its brilliance) (repeat)

Connect to the sky
Future lovers ride
Their ambitions high
Would you like to try?

Brilliance
Brilliance
Brilliance
Brilliance

In the evidence of its brilliance

Looks like our favorite 'material girl' has gotten her butt in a sling with a song on the new album. The Jewish Defamation League is calling for her head because of a song called "Isaac". According to Jewish law this prophet's name is not to be uttered in public and Madonna has broken every rule in the book on this one.

I really like the new album, but I will bet that they eventually re-edit the album and "Isaac" will disappear.

What was she thinking?????

Many of the songs I don't like are growing on me. Madonna's probably in my top 5 artists, but I almost NEVER like all the songs from an album of hers at first, but they all grow on me. The same thing happened with American Life and Music.

Why does this not surprise me? Hmmm....

At any rate, music is not always something you instantly like. Sometimes it takes more than one listen.

You might not like the album, but that does not mean it "sucks".

Alright, I didn't post lyrics, yesterday, so I'll post for two songs, today.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are the lyrics for the fifth track from the album.

"I Love New York"

I don't like cities, but I like New York
Other places make me feel like a dork
Los Angeles is for people who sleep
Paris and London, baby you can keep

Baby you can keep (8x)

Other cities always make me mad
Other places always make me sad
No other city ever made me glad
Except New York

I love New York
I love New York
I love New York

If you don't like my attitude, then you can F-off
Just go to Texas, isn't that where they golf?
New York is not for little pussies who scream
If you can't stand the heat, then get off my street

Get off my street (8x)

Other cities always make me mad
Other places always make me sad
No other city ever made me glad
Except New York

I love New York
I love New York
I love New York

I love New York (Get off my street, get off my street) (4x)
(Get off my street) (10x)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the lyrics for the sixth track. This is another favorite of mine.

"Let It Will Be"

Now I can tell you about success, about fame
About the rise and the fall of all the stars in the sky
Don't it make you smile?
That it will be
Let it be
Just let it be
Let it be

Now I can tell you about the place I belong
You know it won't last long
And all those lights they will turn down
That it will be
Let it be
Just let it be
Won't you let it be?

Now I can see things for what they really are
I guess I'm not that far
I'm at the point of no return
Just watch me burn

That it will be
Just let it be
Oh let it be
Then it will be
(Just let it be)
Just let it be
(That it will be)
Oh let it be
(Won't you let it be)
Let it be
(Won't you let it be)

Now I can tell you the place that I belong
It won't last long
The lights, they will turn down

Oh let it be
Oh let it be
Oh let it be
(Won't you let it be)
Oh let it be
(You've got to let it be)
Just let it be
(Anyone can see)
Won't you let it be
(That it will be)

Just watch me go
Oh let it be
Just let it be
Won't you let it be
Won't you let it be
(Just let it be)
Oh let it be
(Let it be)
Just let it be
(Won't you let it be)
Won't you let it be
(Won't you let it be)
Won't you let it be

Now I can tell you
(Won't)
Tell you tell you...
(Just let it be)
About success, about fame
About fame, about fame
About fame

Won't you let it be
Just let it be
Won't you let it be

In my defence, you said the album was very good and that it was one of her best albums to date. You never said it was good, once you get used to it. So I don't know what you're talking about!

MadonnaManOne, how come you haven't responded about the song "Isaac"?? This song could cause the CD to be recalled by the company if the pressure doesn't let up from the Jewish community. Madonna has definitely crossed a line here with this song.

Oh, I'm sorry, DVDJUNKIE. The controversy about the song being called "Isaac" is unfounded. Madonna did not write the song about Isaac Luria. She states that she doesn't even know who he is. Here are excerpts from an article relating to the issue:

No matter what Madonna does, she courts controversy — and her latest album and documentary are no different.

Confessions on a Dance Floor made news last week when Israeli Kabbalist rabbis declared one of the album's songs to be a "great sin," while the tour documentary "I'm Going to Tell You a Secret" (see "Madonna's All Grown Up In New Doc: 'No More Evian Bottles!'") has just started making headlines for some of the religious commentary in it.

"What are you going to do?" Madonna asked in exasperation at the movie's premiere Tuesday night in Manhattan.

The song that has religious leaders up in arms is called "Isaac," which the rabbis said was about the 16th century Jewish mystic Yitzhak Luria, whose name, according to Jewish law, is not to be used for profit. Rabbis Rafael Cohen and Israel Deri told the Israeli newspaper Maariv that Madonna singing a song about Luria was "unacceptable" and that they're asking that she be thrown out of the Kabbalah community.

"The absurd thing is that it's not what they think it is," Madonna said. "It's not a song about Isaac Luria. I don't know anything about Isaac Luria, so I couldn't write a song about him. The song is called 'Isaac' because the man who is singing on it is named Isaac. I think one person saw that name and decided that they were going to go out and say I was doing something blasphemous, and it's just not true."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The entire article can be found, here:

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/151181 ... lines=true

Madonna also said, in another interview (I'm paraphrasing, here), "How could they know what the song is about? The album isn't even released, yet. I find it funny that a bunch of Jewish priests are more concerned about the title of one of my songs, when there are so many more important things to be concerned about." Again, I paraphrased that, but it was something to that effect, and it's true. At that time, the album has not yet been leaked, so they could only know anything about the song, because of the title of the song.

So, Madonna hasn't crossed any lines. If the album were to be recalled, then I'd have a version that had the questionable song on it!
