This is a movie that I want to actually like. (Not that I hate it but I just don't love it either) And I really want to like it much more... don't know why.
... and I think it has started to grow more on me. At least, I appreciate it much more after every viewing.
This is a DVD you can't help to feel like watching because the packaging attracts you to it .
Still, this is a movie I rather watch at night right before I go to sleep. Why? Because it is a very slow pacing movie, and besides of being relaxing I can actually pay more attention to it this way.
Sleeping Beauty - While it may not be one of my top 3 favourites I think in terms of animation it would be in a top 3.
Fantasia - I liked it as always even though the disc was a little screwy.
That's all I got to watch. It was supposed to be a Disney marathon weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday until I found out I had to work.
I planned it, 12 movies over three days. I could watch more but since I have less time now I had to do other things. I only got 2 movies finished and then decided to hang out with a friend since I'd probably have little chance before she goes to DisneyWorld next Sunday.
The Disney marathon that never was...
Friday
Sleeping Beauty
Fantasia
Alice in Wonderland
Robin Hood
Saturday
Dumbo
Fox and the Hound
The Black Cauldron
Oliver & Company
Sunday
Pocahontas
Hercules
The Great Mouse Detective
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
My next chance at a Disney marathon is unknown. I can watch some Disney but a marathon might have to wait two weeks.
I bought it at Game Stop the other day for about $7 on a whim and watched it tonight (usually 9.99 but it was buy two get one free! woohoo!). I was thoroughly impressed!!! I must say, I really really liked this movie. I am still in shock over how much I liked it. The music was great (I'm a huge Goo Goo Dolls/John Reznik fan) and the characters were very believable. I'm also glad I bought it since I read on the main site that it was discontinued recently.
This is definitely one I'll be forcing my boyfriend to watch
Just watched my Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition a few nights ago. This time I caught more of the little phrases that flash across the speak-and-spell (is that what that thing is?). Hi-freaking-larious stuff.
The Lion King - I can't believe I have anything to add about this... If it weren't for Timon and Pumba in certain scenes, this would get a perfect 10 from me! I'm glad I started collecting DVDs just before it became OOP!
"See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve." - The Joker
Last night I watched National Treasure for the first time. It seemed nice, but half the time I was falling asleep so I can't say for sure. I'll rent it again sometime soon to see it fully.

Well, in French Class, we just watched Le Roi Lion, a.k.a. The Lion King. That was great, as usual and then we watched Le Bossu de Dame de Notre, or The Hunchback of Notre Dame (obviously, also in French Class).
We had a sort of mini-Disneyrama movie night, we watched:
Follow Me Boys with Fred MacMurray, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes with Kurt Russell, The Last Flight of Noah's Ark with Elliott Gould and Rick Schroeder, and to cap off the evening we watched about six cartoons from The Chronological Donald tin set.
Lots of fun and lots of popcorn consumed this fun evening with the grandkids.
The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!
I LOVE my Blu-Ray Disc Player!
Yesterday I woke up at 5:30 am and watched The Little Mermaid. That was fun.
Last night I watched Atlantis: The Lost Empire, followed by the 2-hour documentary about it on the second disc of my CE dvd. I actually think Atlantis is a pretty good movie..
The last Disney movie I watched was Sleeping Beauty on Thursday night. A friend of mine came over to my apartment and we coloured pictures of Lilo and Stitch while watching Sleeping Beauty. (This is a rather standard representation of what my social life is like )
Just about every line out of Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather's mouths succeeds in making me giggle.
TashieGirl wrote:Today, my best friend and her sister were over and they wanted to watch my old copy of Aladdin. Over the years I forgot how entertainng and fun this movie was. Simply great. It's too bad it doesn't get as much attention as Beauty & the Beast or The Lion King.
As a huge Aladdin fan, may I second that? I adore Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King is also one of my favourite Disney animated films, but I definitely agree that Aladdin frequently is overlooked unfairly.
Aladdin - This truely stands out as a great comedy. Not only does it have funny moments, but it also has a lot of heart! Something that lacks in most comedies. I don't know if it's just my attachment to it because of nostalgia, but I consider this one of Disney's best, and one of the finest comedies in the movie buisness!

Sleeping Beauty - First time I watched this movie since I was a kid. I rented from the library. I enjoyed it a lot, but I dont know if I'll pick it up on dvd. I think if I can find it cheap, or maybe I'll get it, after I buy other movies I like better.
