I know its different. When you're watching a DVD you won't have to deal with large crowds, uncomfortable seats, expensive confections, etc...
Yeah but in a theater you get a much bigger screen and a much more surround sound than a regular home theater. :D

I've seen countless movies off the top of my head, but the record breaker is War of the Worlds. I've seen it about 7-8 times by now. Love it.

Honorable Mentions:

National Treasure- 6 times
Finding Nemo- 5 times
Pirates of the Caribbean- 5 times
Holes- 5 times
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- 5 times
Wedding Crashers- 4 times
Star Wars Ep. III- 3 times
Freaky Friday- 3 times
Toy Story 2- 3 times
Monsters Inc.- 3 times

and these I've all seen twice

Red Eye
Four Brothers (seeing it again as soon as my brother-in-law comes to town)
The Island
Fantastic Four
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Cinderella Man (seeing it again as soon as it hits second run theater)
The Longest Yard
Madagascar
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Quoth Marvin- I've seen it. It's RUBBISH.)
Fever Pitch
The Pacifier
Hitch
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera
The Incredibles (saw it again during the Free Summer Kids Film Festivel)

+ 40 others from the past 4 years that I can't think of.
Cheers,

Iknow you were just trying your sense of humor on people here Escapay, but honestly there are no black bars in the theaters and if you have a front projection system in your home theater (as I do) you don't have the black bars either.

Movies I have seen more than once are too numerous to mention but recently I did see:

March of the Penguins - 3 times

Four Brothers - 3 times

Wedding Crashers - 5 times

Just Like Heaven - 2 times

The 40 Year Old Virgin - 3 times

A Sound of Thunder - 2 times

The Man - 2 times

Transporter 2 - 4 times

There are more, but those are the most recent. Since I don't have to pay to go the theater, I do go regularly.

You know, that whole fight started, and you were saying Escapay was pulling your chain, starting crap with you....and then you go and say something like this...

Which is just a stab like, "Oooo! I got a big home theater and you don't! Neener neener neener!"

And YOU said WE were immature??? I beg to differ. Behaviour like those jabs is frowned on here. We are a little too mature for that junk, junkie.

Lion King tops my list with 7 times in the theater. :o Well six were paid for and the seventh was free with an advanced showing of Angels in the Outfield.

Another topper is Pirates OTC. Three times at the movies and once at a Student Union before it's release on DVD.

If the movie is at all good I usually go twice just because I have different sets of friends and I get pulled to go again.

How do you people watched a movie seven times in theatres! If I had a choice, I would watch seven different movies, not the same ones! How predictable would the movie be after those seven times! :?

I've only seen a few movies more than once in the theater. I always planned to go see Episode III more than once, but everytime I had plans something came up.

Now one of my friends saw Episode I in the theaters when it came out 40 times. Yes the "Jar Jar" movie 40 times. He at least got in free, but still thats insane.

I don't remember pulling your chain Siren.

What is your problem? Maybe it is you who needs the chill pill.

There was nothing about 'neener neener' in my post. I thought Escapay was being cute saying what he/she said about the black bars.

Calm down. Sheeeeesh!!!!!

The guy who saw Batman Begins over 50 times is a mutual friend of Memnv and me and he lives in Chicagotham.

ALAN, I thought we were supposed to be kind and not tell people to GAL.

Alan dosn't know how to be kind, look how he talks to people, he has even said he does not have much friends, maybe what he needs to do is change his attitude alittle and they way he refers to people and maybe, just maybe he can make some friends.

By the way Alan the guy who has seen Batman 50 times is a huge Batman
Fan. I have seen the first StarWars over 100 times. I saw it when it came out in 77 3 times, I saw it when they released Empire and Jedi. They re-released it, I saw the Special Edition 3 times, I have the Video and DVD, and have watched it on tv around 15 times a year.

And now that Memnv and I have "Episode III" we can watch the whole 'Saga' as many times as we want. "Star Wars" is the bomb. I was a projectionist when it came out in 1977 and showed it three times a day for almost eight months. When "Empire" came out, same thing, three times a day for almost eight months, and then came "Jedi" and got see it more times than I want to even think about. As a projectionist I got see a lot of movies or parts of movies, over and over. And my days off, what did I do? Of course, I went to the movies.

It takes more then what you have to give to pull my chain. I was just pointing out how your being immature about the whole thing. You don't like Escapay, they ignore him and move on with your life, rather then continue this immature jab fest of your's. It's really quite sad and pitiful.

Alan, when you are writing on a thread in a forum it is like talking. But I guess that you like to 'nitpick' about those things.
