Movies you saw more than once in the theater

Post by azul017 »

Has there ever been a time where you liked a particular movie so much you went to go see it a second time (or even more than twice) in the theaters before waiting for the DVD release?

I can safely claim I've seen Batman Begins twice, which got better and better with the second viewing. But for every other movie I've seen I wait till DVD to see it for the second time.

I've seen TONS of movies more than once, here's all the ones I can remember:

Lion King: 3 times

Fellowship of the Ring: 4 times

Two Towers: 7 TIMES!

Return of the King: 7 TIMES!!

Star Wars Attack of the Clones: 2 times

Star Wars Revenge of the Sith: 2 times

I can't really remember anything else I've seen more than once, but I know they exist
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Attack of the Clones is the only movie I have ever seen more than once in theatre... I saw it twice.

Edit... I forgot, I have seen Spider-man twice in theatres too... woops.

If you are talking IMAX documentary films I have seen the Niagara Falls one twice. :)

I often see things in theaters multiple times. Off the top of my head...

The Phantom Menace (countless times)
Attack of the Clones (don't remember how many times)
Holes (3 times)
X-Men 2 (2 times)
Goldmember (3 times)
The Fellowship of the Rings (2 times, I think)
The Two Towers (2 times, I think)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (at least 7 times, maybe more)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2 or 3 times)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2 or 3 times)
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (3 times, I think)
Scary Movie 3 (at least 2 times, maybe more)
National Treasure (2 or 3 times)

There have been many others, but these are all I can think of at the moment.

Pirates of the Caribbean (3 times)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2 times)

I'm not some huge Johnny Depp fan. I guess it just worked out that he was in both of the movies. I really don't like to see a movie more than once. I would rather spend the time seeing a movie that I have not seen yet.

Well, I just lost my original reply, so I'll just say that the only films that I saw more than once in a cinema or equivalent of before hitting home media were Aladdin, The Lion King, Bambi, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Muppet Treasure Island, Shrek and Chicago.

I saw The Terminal twice. As usual, Tom Hanks was phenomenal, but the rest of the movie didn't live up to my expectations (either time).
Buffy: We have a marching jazz band?
Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we'd be going off in all directions, banging into floats... scary.

I can only think of the following:

Star Wars (6 times. 5 the original run, one time 1997 run)
Total Recall (3 times and I don't even like it but my friends wanted to see it, my girlfriend wanted to see three days later, and then I with another girlfriend saw Terminator II at the drive in and it was the "B" movie a year later.)
Spaceballs & La Bamba: Saw at drive-in and watch it again at a second run theater I worked at. (And getting paid.)
Raiders Of The Lost Ark & Star Trek II : 2 Times First & Second Run Theaters

There's only 1 movie that I've seen in the theatre more than once (being twice).

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Most likely never to happen again (the watching-more-than-once in theatres, I mean... not not watching TTT). XD
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I saw Aladdin 7 times in the theater. Almost 8, but one of the times i went to see it, the reel was broken.

I saw Spirit about 10 times. My daugher LOVED that movie. So every weekend, we saw it. Then the local theater has the free movie summer program, so we saw it some more. I lost count around 8 or 9.
