The Sword in the Stone:


A fun, little and entertaining movie.

It's so bad that the movie feels so episodic. If they had put some effort into it, it wouldn't be this way.

You can tell that when the movie actually makes sense/feels like a movie is probably the last 20 min.


... and Madam Mim should be considered a Disney villain (I don't why she gets forgotten when she truly is, in contrast with the Queen of Hearts that's just mad and don't even exist for real).

Lady and the Tramp - definitely belongs among the Platinum Editions. It has a good story, good songs and likeable characters. I believe this is Disney's first animated movie released in widescreen.

I am anticipating the Platinum Edition release on February 28 (my birthday!) in 2006.

My only request is that we do not bother with title-only posts. If you want to do that, it sounds like something for Polls & Games, namely a big open-ended, non-stop poll. This forum is called "General Discussion" and this thread would be wonderful if everyone made an effort to share their thoughts on the Disney movie they just watched. You don't need to put colossal chunks of time into your post the way UD's reviewers do, but I don't think writing a few sentences or a paragraph for each title is asking too much.

The 3rd edition of the "What Disney Movie Did You Just Watch?" thread.

I haven't watched a Disney movie recently, but I did watch some DuckTales episodes in honor of it's release to DVD.

Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch

If you have been hating all of the DTVs lately, I suggest that you check this one out. With animation that's almost as good as the original movie's, this sequel has humor, suspence, and a lot of heart. Pleakley is hilarious, and him and David are a great comedic team. I recommend it to all who have had a bad opinion od DTVs, or anyone who just likes the world of Stitch.

The Return of Jafar:

I'm starting to like this movie a LOT. Much more than Aladdin and the King of Thieves.

Probably because of the returning voice cast and that it is a sequel in all sense of the word.

A shame that it didn't have a better quality.


Also the DVD needed more extras: like a history behind the movie and even info on how much Aladdin did worldwide to deserve this sequel.

I've just watched Lilo and Stitch 2.

I can honestly say that this was the best sequal I've seen so far.

Today I saw for the first time National Treasure, and I really enjoyed!

I also saw Mulan (well half of it, I'll see the other half tomorow)!

I just watched The Sword In the Stone from one of the Disney channels. Not bad, but there was little memorable about it. Uncle Walt had little to do with this one as story floats across different episodes and final climax is ho-hum. Arthur needs a sword and takes it out of the stone. The ending seemed like an after-thought. The story seems like a male version of Cindrella.

In fact, if Sir Alfred theorized the quality of a movie is dependent on the quality of the villian then this movie is severely lacking as I don't know who the villian is.

Otherwise, it is nice to cross another Disney classic off list to see.

Lilo & Stitch 2: what a funny sequel! Of course, the voice change was different with Lilo (anyone could pick that up), but you could always pass it up as Lilo maturing. Stitch was really funny in this movie! I still can't get over the "You're touching me" line!

I watched Dumbo last night i hadn't seen it in so long that i forgot that he could fly , i don't remember the movie being that short, but songs like 'pink elephants' more than make up for it

Whoa I have to be honest Enchantress but youa re the first person I have met who hasn't cared for Rutt and Tuke but I guess there are those out there.
I'm one of the only people out there that I know who doesn't care a great deal for The Genie.

Let's see. I had a Disney/Pixar fest, this past weekend, thanks to Labor Day.

I watched Toy Story, Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, and The Incredibles.

I finally watched Brother Bear (after picking up the 2-Disc edition, at Best Buy, a few months back). It was pretty good. Not the best Disney film, but not a bad one, either. Oh, and I watched Tarzan, as well.

I started to watch Pocahontas, but ended up falling asleep. I don't know if I'll ever get through that movie. Everytime I put it in the DVD player, something else comes up, or I fall asleep.

I think I'll task myself to watch it all the way through, tomorrow.

Last night I was watching Robin Hood to go to sleep (not that it's boring, far from it. Just that I wanted a comforting movie to fall asleep to.)

Tonight Kram and I watched Newsies.
