My friend and her sister came over again today and brought Hercules. I thought it was entertaining but not a classic.

I have recently have watched Walt Disney's Classica Cartoon favorites starting Mickey Mouse Vol 1 and starting Donald Duck Vol 2. I really liked the Donald Duck volume that Duck is so freaking funny and that temper just makes him even more of a hoot. But i have to say the Mickey Mouse one was a let down. I think so far the best compliation of Mickey Mouse Cartoons I have seen put togethere is the Spirit of Mickey an old VHS movie.

My Neighbors the Yamadas

It was better than I had expected. :) I thought it was gonna be really bad animation and an annoying storyline, but it was kind of like..a television show. It almost reminded me of the Simpsons..kind of.

For the style of the movie, I'm glad they used the comic strip design rather than a more realistic approach, because that wouldn't have been as humorous.

Beauty and the Beast.

I don't why but I didn't like it that much this time. I found that it starts extremely sweet and kind of slow during more than half of the movie, and then the last half hour just flies... and a reason for that are the songs; it is more evident with the new added song.

Anyways, BATB isn't one of my favorites.

... not saying I dislike it, just don't love it.

I finally came around to watch Beauty and the Beast and it was good. Now I see why people like it so much. From the battle on the castle roofs to the wonderful songs I can finally see why this was chosen to be one of the 14 (correct me if I'm wrong) Platinums.

Brother Bear; with the Rutt and Tuke commentary; found it interesting but quite boring.

I finally finished my "Disney Marathon," it's about time it took like 2 weeks. I finished with:
Rescuer's Down Under - Absolutly my favorite Disney sequel. It's funny, smart and actually has a good story backing it up. Simply a great movie.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - For the first time I actually sat down and watched this movie it was actually pretty good. That's right it was my first time I ever watched Snow White. Not bad for a 68 year old movie.
Toy Story - The last moive I watched. I can't believe that it's almost 10 years old. That means that I was 9 when I got it. It's still a good moive though. It's very funny.
Well that's it... time to go back to school.

I saw The Black Cauldron for the first time. It reminded me somewhat of the animated Lord of the Rings directed by Ralph Bakshi. I'd give it a B-, even though it is badly in need of restoration and cleaning up.
Buffy: We have a marching jazz band?
Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we'd be going off in all directions, banging into floats... scary.

I saw Mulan... Well, sort of. I watched it with a friend half way through. Then we lost patience and went to do other things. The movie is great, as usual. Nothing really more to say!

I liked it. Not as good as the first, but still good.

For a second opinion, I would recommend it. It wasn't as good as the original, but it was entertaining and actually pretty funny.

In honor of poor Joe Ranft I decided to watch Toy Story (that and little kids were over at my house! :P )

Well after 10 years of it's original release it's hasn't lost a piece of it's brilliance. The animation is good, the voice actors perfectly fit their parts and the script was amazing. I'll definatly be picking up the DVD.

Pom Poko

Ahem..um...it was a pretty good movie..a little bit weird in some parts, but just..yeah. The whole "raccoon pouch" thing didn't really bother me at first because it's what you would see if you looked at a male raccoon in real life, but when they started to transform their raccoon pouches and when they showed some female body parts..that was a little too weird for me. It's not something I'd watch with my parents. :P
