Tedee, should be really happy of a sequel in 3D of an originally 2D classic?

This is really sad. :( I have liked most of the sequels and such. I actually collect them, as well as the classics. I really am not a fan of 3d, and crappy 3d will not make me happy.

2. Inglorious Basterds

Wow it never fails when I go missing for a long time I always come back to such bad news :( . I have never been all for making sequals to every aniemated classic and I can admitt that there have been a few good ones. I guess I am just sad because it was starting to feel like the sequals were getting so much better, plots and art and now its ending.

Also I am not all that impressed with the whole CGI movement  Mickey's Twice upon an X-mas was a dissapointment to me. I wish we could have both 2-D and CGI and well everything but as always just wishful thinking but who knows maybe we will be able too. And I guess I should not be to upset maybe the studio in Tokyo will be okay... right :?

Well at least they can make 3D sequels to the Disney classics. If you know what I mean.

Yes, we get what you mean. You said the exact same thing twice already.

I'm not all excited to making CGI sequels to traditionally drawn animated classics. In my opinion, you lose the entire feel of the first movie when you make a change that big.

Well it's just that they're making CGI sequels to Disney classics like a CGI sequel to The Great Mouse Detective and stuff and all.

Good lord, like a friggin' broken record. It's actually quite funny.

It may not sound like it, but I always enjoy it when Teede stops by. :D

No, I gotta say that 1. 1 post is the best. I mean that's greater than 0. Am I right, check my math? I think that's right. :P

Anyways, I don't really care I lost my faith in the Disney company a long time ago. So I say just let them do whatever the hell they want. If they wanna ruin a classic with these dumb sequels then let them, you don't have to watch them. I don't have to watch them so really there's no reason why I should complain about it.

Guy's...

You are speculating without reading the facts. There is going to be No CGI sequels, and the 'lab' isn't closing.

It's going to outsouced to Asian studio's, such as Cooko's Nest and ToonCity... With a sacrifice of quality of course!

I'm surprised this report doesn't mention that the studio is working on Bambi II. I assume this means the work is now complete.

No mention of some of the other rumoured sequels either - No Fox and the Hound II and no Mulan II (and, thankfully no further Pooh feature).

Of course, as has been pointed out, this doesn't mean 2D is dead, they're just going to do it out-of-house for less money. A shame, as I was a keen defender of the sequels and DisneyToon's improving work. Now, I to am disillisioned.

When it comes down to it, if Disney really want to save money, but have high DVD sales, they don't need to make any sequels, just release some of their TV Toons on DVD. (Such as House of Mouse hint hint). I really can't understand Disney's thinking on this - they sit on literally millions of dollars of archive material, but they still want to make video sequels (only without spending the money). Madness.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I hope somebody starts a new studio using all these animators that Disney seems to be discarding; and maybe teach Disney something about making good movies. There doesn't seem to be anyone left at the company that knows anything about it.

If this kills off Mulan III, maybe there's a silver lining.

Yeah, I hope that too

it would be terrific, and they certanly be the spirit of the real Disney, not the one that make cheapqueels and forget so easily its origins, but the one that Walt once made
