But then he'll look back on all the wasted years and realize that he spent so much money for nothing. Why ruin his fun, I say.memnv wrote:I hope when somebody gets older he will realize that a slipcover is not a reason to spend money, The movie is what it is about and that money does not grow on trees
Oh, and Bambi's slipcover only came with the crappy gooey stuff; at least in region 1, I believe.

Well any DVDs that you or anyone else buys will be "wasted" because it will be replaced by a beter format every several years.Pasta67 wrote:But then he'll look back on all the wasted years and realize that he spent so much money for nothing. Well, you got me there. In 50 years, we'll be able to watch movies in our head when we sleep; and everything you buy from now to then will be wasted, and soon that will be replaced.Alan wrote:Well any DVDs that you or anyone else buys will be "wasted" because it will be replaced by a beter format every several years.
But in the long run, everything you buy is wasted money; you can't take it with you, you know.

I disagree. I love dearly every single movie that I own. Most of them have been put to good use already so I feel they're already not "wasted" and there's still a few more years to come before I plan on changing formats!Alan wrote: Well any DVDs that you or anyone else buys will be "wasted" because it will be replaced by a beter format every several years.

Most Bambi DVDs up here now have velcro. They may have changed to velcro in the second shipment.

Bambi
For my Birthday (which was June 10), my mom got be Bambi! That made me very happy! Bambi is great. But I was sad that my slipcover only had the glue, too. Did anyone order a slipcover from Disney just to get the velcro? And did they get the velcro?
And as for wasting your money, I really don't mind constantly changing formats. I think it's cool to have different versions of the movie on different formats. If you have a whole bunch of films in a bunch of different formats, then it's like a mini museum that shows the evolution of movies. Also, it's just cool to have different versions of the same thing. I like how the coverart is always new...or at least, usually new. Sometimes they reuse a previous cover...

It's not a waste of money if you enjoy what you've spent it on, whether you like the movie or just the slipcover.Pasta67 wrote:Well, you got me there. It was my money. Someone gave me a gift certificate to best buy. But I actually watched the movie and watched all the extra features, so I didn't buy it just for the slipcover, even though I don't like bambiIsidour wrote:but spending like 23 bucks for some piece of paper?!
it´s so....

Do what you want whit your money and if you just want something for the slipcover please at least spend your money and not mommy and daddy´s one
