I can't find Bambi ANYWHERE!

Post by Alan »

I went to a lot of different stores, and I can't find Bambi at all! I went to Circuit City, Bambi was all sold out. I went to Barnes and Noble, there was Bambi but no slipcover. I went to Target, not Bambi, all sold out. Do any of you people know which store sell plenty of Bambi DVDs and its not sold out there WITH the slipcover?

Try buying it online. I don't buy alot from online but I was pleased with Amazon several times.

Check Best Buy and Wal-Mart. After those, your best bet is probably Amazon (be sure to use UD's link!).

It's at least encouraging to know that it's selling so well.

Best Buy has a lot of it. Some with slipcover, some without.

Perhaps it's punishment for having such terrible taste in avatars! :p

Up here, every store I've been to has numerous copies of Bambi. At The Bay yesterday, I saw a PE of Snow White.

The Bay? I didn't even know they sold DVD's there. That would be awesome if they had a Snow White PE at the Bay near me.

Oy.

Guys, DISNEY'S SLIPCOVERS ARE ALWAYS LIMITED TO THE FIRST FEW PRESSINGS OF THE DISC.

Given that Bambi has been available since March and has reportedly sold extremely well, it's unlikely that you're going to find it with a slipcover at ANY store, now.

The lesson to be learned here is that if you want a slipcover, buy it when it's new. But, honestly, you saw it at a couple stores without a slipcover and PASSED on it? What exactly is it that you WANT here, the movie or the slipcover?

Slipcovers are nice-looking, sure, but I buy my DVDs for the MOVIES, and frankly I think this slipcover-or-none stuff is getting a little out of hand.

Besides, you know you can always call Disney and ask them to mail you a slipcover and they'll usually do it if they still have some around.

Buy Bambi, and buy it for the MOVIE, not the slipcover. Thank you!

(Sorry if this post has been a little hostile, it's just something that's been bothering me for a while and this thread pressed my button. I'll cool off now.)

Aladdin did well on DVD; but not as well as hoped. Thus, there may be lots more copies (including those with slips) around the place, as it undersold a bit according to Disney's expected figures.

Well perhaps Jake Lipson lives in a different area to MickeyMousePal. That's possibly the reason why every shop everywhere isn't the same.
