The Disney Company sure knows how to ruin a movie. I can't wait to see what will happen when Iger takes over - will he kill the sequels and make the world a happier place or keep them coming and kill every single one of Walt Disney's creations and visions? The world will find out soon. Hopefully the latter Eisner days will be gone and long forgotten when Iger fixes everything. That's just a hope though.

Disney presents its greatest achievement, the best technology of traditionnal animation bring the magic of Cinderella 3 to live, amazing SFX, gorgeous new song written by Clay Aiken and performed by Raven in the movie, with special guest animator Glen Keane who'll animate the bird in the first 3 seconds of the movie... The TRILOGY is complete (special gift set with the 3 fabulous movies on sale just before Christmas)Ladies and Gentlement, Boys and Girls, here is the cover of Cinderella 3:
Disney's Magic at its best!
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!
Coming to DVD Summer 2006, Pinocchio in Neverland.......hmmmm...too easy and too controversal considering all the court coverage
Is it just me, or are all these sequels taking away all these characters' most precious quality: immortality. These are characters we've grown up with and they have never aged. They have always been with us and have always looked the same, but these sequels make them mortal. It's like they're slowly killing them and reminding kids that, yes, these characters will grow old and die one day and they aren't as timeless as they once were. Aren't Disney movies supposed to be timeless?
Maybe I'm just being melodramatic, but I couldn't help but wonder about that. But really, what's so hard to understand about "happily ever after," Disney?

I'll say it again: If you're going to make a sequel, make sure that the things that made the original great are still there. Mulan II was terrible because, among other things, the sense of danger and adventure was no longer present. On the other hand, the Aladdin and Lion King sequels were pretty good because they stayed true to the characters and the feel of the original. I'm not on the "sequels are bad!" bandwagon, but I think a lot more thought needs to be put into them. Odds are, if they tried, they could come up with a theater-worthy sequel for most Disney classics, with a few exceptions.
That´s what I do, but what makes me angy is think that the upcoming sequel of Bambi "Bambi and The Great Prince" could ruin the original movie, because on the first one when the Great Prince and Bambi leave he see no more his friends for a very long time, what it seems is not the case on this midquel.Jens wrote:That's exactly what sequel haters can do tooIsidour wrote:you´ll have to live with it, you can accept it or ignore it
Also, in base of what I had saw the Great Prince becomes a very "sweet" character instead of being the all-serious and a little dark character(yeah, I know that is a story for children, but if you can´t do it right then why bother?)
but hey, who knows and a miracle happens,Iger return to the 2D as a feature animation formula(one animated per year and a CGI too, or maybe 1 every 2 years)and he sign again with Pixar
Magic exist doesn´t?

Walt Disney would have NEVER wanted a sequel to Snow White, Pinocchio, or any of the other classics up to Jungle Book that he worked on. If he only knew what was going on, he would probably have fired every single animator in the studios. The sequels don't make enough money anyway, so what's the point? The only good sequel was the Lion King series. The rest of them are all just recycled versions of the original. Then you have movies like Poca 2, which was obviously set up to ruin history a little biit more than the original did. ugh...i better not get started before i get really ticked.

Why would he fire the animators? They don't have anything to do with Disney's business decisions.JRawkSteady wrote:Walt Disney would have NEVER wanted a sequel to Snow White, Pinocchio, or any of the other classics up to Jungle Book that he worked on. As for not making money:
Read this PDF document on 10 years of Disney DTV releases.
As for recycled versions of the original... how about the Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Scream.... the list of recycled sequels almost endless.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
Well, in Jurassic Parc 2, the dinosaurs didn't open a human themepark did they? Well, Melody did want to go to the see while her mother wanted to go on earth... That's what i calla recylcled and cheap synopsis...As for recycled versions of the original... how about the Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Scream.... the list of recycled sequels almost endless.

I'll bet they're making more sequels.
I think that I bet they're making more Disney sequels like The Black Cauldron 2, Alice In Wonderland 2, The Great Mouse Detective 2, Robin Hood 2, Home On The Range 2, Pinnochio 2, and Treasure Planet 2 at DisneyToon Studios that they have new writers that they were hired where they can write scripts.
