Excellent find. Let's hope the info holds up. Though I'm in no rush for January. :)
Wai! My birthday's in January! I want that SE Alice in Wonderland so badly...

...after I bash my head into the bedroom wall for buying the GC Alice shortly before coming to UltimateDisney.com...

They did the same thing with Sleeping Beauty  which, IMO, holds higher precedence. So why not with this movie...

Unfortunately, I did not buy any Gold Collection DVD's, until this past January, for $20 each, and now they are $15 ea. at Wal-mart. Disney DVD is screwing me all over the place  ...

Ýeah, it's a curse... I already have six repeated Disney films on DVD... and soon I'll have more. Luckly, I didn't buy the GC edition of "Alice", but I already have the standard editions of "Lilo" and "Pocahontas''... Disney is taking my money away!!!

I never bought the original DVD of Lilo, and I'm glad. But I'm more excited about Alice, especially cause it's the year before Peter Pan!

that looks pretty interesting. it appears to have some pretty massive scenes, epic proportions, which i like to see. however i hope that they didn't go the route of george lucas and computer generate everything. theres nothing better than seeing a huge crowd on film and knowing that the producers and directors had to actually get a huge crowd of people.

this is just speculation and i was wondering if this hidalgo movie was pushed back for refilming and reediting after the success of pirates of the carribean. i remember the trailer for pirates said october 2003 or something like that and then after pirates did so well, they pushed it back. i'm wondering if disney is gonna make that one pg-13 as well. i was watching the trailer again on disney's site and i thought, "this would make a good action flick like pirates" and possibly that's why it was pushed back. any thoughts on this guys?

Does anyone know for sure why Hidalgo was pushed bacK? It seems dumb to me... Ella Enchanted was pushed back about eight months from August 2003 to April 2004!

I'm quite sure that it is going to be a theatrical release, it says so on Miramax cafe.

http://www.miramax.com/ella_enchanted/ says that it will be in theaters in 2004, and I'm quite sure it'll be April 23rd.

Getting back on topic...

I finally saw Pirates of the Carribean this past weekend and loved it - my mom is another story - and I saw the preview for this movie, HIDALGO, and man it looked great! I don't know when it is set for theatres, and I'm not fretting the the release date too much, well really not at all  , all I can say is that when it does come out, it will be a definate to see.

One curious thing about the preview it did not specify the production name (like whether it was disney or touchstone, or anything) Maybe they are reconsidering the rating and not sure whether to class it as Disney or Touchstone, I thought, personally, that the movie looked to adult to be considered Disney, but I wouldn't be offended if that was how it was labeled... :) In fact it might be better if it was, cause I don't think people know about the connection between touchstone and disney, I know I didn't until I came to this site, and my mom diddn't until I told her...
