Sorry, I'm excited. Almost as excited as when I heard BMW Season 3 was coming out in August! USA TODAY Reporting Toy Story 10th Anniversary DVD!

3-disc???? The only movie I can think of that got more than 2 discs worth of special features is my favorite movie of all time-Gone With the Wind.SofaKing381222 wrote:YAY! I only have the Toy Story 2-Set and that is terible. I hope Disney does an awesoem job on this release. They can really make it awesome. A 3-Disc set....maybe??? Please.....???Followed by an equally awesome 3-Disc Toy Story 2....????
I really, really doubt Disney is going to go 3-disc or 4-disc any time soon. At least not until they finish the Platinum Edition line...or at least the first ten...
YES
I can't believe that its true.
Trying to find info on Toy Story is how I found out about this site in the first place. I never realized that it would be so hard to get or so pricey when I started looking for it a few months ago.
My patience has finally paid off, I don't have to pay $40+ just to get this movie now.

Hey... Anythings possible. And Gone With the Wind was a WB not Disney, so maybe Disney will do something so daring, as to make it 3 discs. The price is listed as $30, maybe a 3-Disc is possible?chaychay102royal wrote:3-disc???? It's not my favourite Pixar movie but I still like it. I didn't have a DVD when it came out on DVD. I might buy it.

Most of the stuff on the Gone With the Wind discs were items that were previously made for television and just added to the set (not that there's anything wrong with that. I wish Disney DVDs had more of their archive television making of specials on them *cough*Lion King*cough*Beauty and the Beast*cough*) But I doubt there is a lot of archive material for the Toy Story films.SofaKing381222 wrote: Hey... The USA Today report stated 2 discs and a $30 price tag (translation: $29.99 SRP). Not sure how we got a 3-disc set or more out of that. The content from The Ultimate Toy Box can easily be translated over to 2 discs, even with a couple of hours of new bonus features. But how will they manage to improve the picture quality? It's pretty flawless digital-to-digital stuff on the first set. The first film isn't even afflicted by the minor sync problems like TS2 is.
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president

I assume what's in UTB will be on that TS 2-disc?
Still, it'd be nice to own so I won't keep removing the slipcover of UTB just to watch the movies.

Further Details
USA Today is reporting that a brand new edition of Toy Story, the landmark computer-animated film from Disney and Pixar, will be arriving this September 6th. The 10th Anniversary edition will feature improved video and sound quality, with the sound being enhanced by Lucasfilm's Gary Rydstrom, winner of seven Academy Awards and a member of the Toy Story production team. Extras on this two-disc set will include a Legacy of Toy Story featurette, which includes interviews with celebrated filmmakers on the importance of the film, credited with launching the trend away from traditional hand-drawn animation, a new "making of" documentary, 10 deleted scenes, early animation tests and a new music video of Lyle Lovett and Randy Newman singing You've Got a Friend in Me. We'll bring you further details on this one shortly.

Well, it is in USA Today. And even though I dont believe Disney has officially announced it, I doubt this would just be made up.DisneyFan 2000 wrote:I'm surprised I haven't asked this up until now. How sure is this thing? I mean, it isn't official, but is it close to being an official report? Can this article be trusted?
Alice, why arent you "impressed"?
