I think this would be a cool pick-up even if you allready have the toy box.. It's going to be ehanced and I'm sure it will have some extras that aren't on the box set.. I plan on picking this up.

Hmm. . . it would be hard to improve on the perfection that is the Ultimate Toy Box, but I understand that not everyone was able to get their hands on it.
As I mentioned before, I think it would be cool to add re-insert those aforementioned deleted scenes and make it a special edition, but there's not even a hint about it yet so it seems unlikely.

I shall now do my happy dance:

As you can tell, I am happy about this news. Seriously, I am! I just liked the look of the freaky gif, so I used that as my happy dance!
As I didn't own the original toy box 3 Disc Set, this will be a must for me. It's still available in some retailers in England, but it was at the full retail price of £40, which is almost $80 in American currency, which is a bit too expensive for me. Anyways, I'm hoping this new 2 Discer will come out in England (it should do, as this is a biggy), especially before Christmas, as with I think it will look good under the Christmas Tree!

Well since The TS movies are OOP there is a large chance that it will be released (alomst certain), however here in the UK TS is only just starting to disappear from stores, there are loads of copies everywhere. Therefore we might not get it at the same time as the US, we may get it next year. Good news anyhow!Wonderlicious wrote:I'm hoping this new 2 Discer will come out in England (it should do, as this is a biggy), especially before Christmas, as with I think it will look good under the Christmas Tree!
Well i have both of the single disc dvds of TS1 and 2 (UK). But havent got the ultimate toy box. Im sure itll come out in the UK and i will definatly be buying it, since the 1 disc editions had next to no bonus features!
Cant wait!
Lets hope they will re-release TS2 shortly after or when that hits the 10th anniversary mark. Then i'll have the ultimate toy story box, but just not in the box......hahaha that made so much sense

Well, we must remember that the original Pocahontas DVD only started to disappear in December of last year, when the special edition was released in early March, so I think there may be a possibility.ichabod wrote:Therefore we might not get it at the same time as the US, we may get it next year. So it seems that Toy Story is the release prior to Cinderella in October.

This is such great news! I am really glad that I have waited and not spent a ton of money on the Ultimate Toy Box set. I will finally be able to have this great movie to go along with the other 2-disc DVDs of the Pixar films. Even better is that the bonus features look great too! Here's hoping that Toy Story 2 is not far behind...

I agree, they will have games and such. Hopefully they will have a 10th anniversay re-visit from the cast and crew.. that would be a very good thing!PheR wrote:oh you bet it will!! it´ll have those kiddie games and features... no, no no, wait... this is a Pixar DVD not a platinum.... pfiiuu!Lightyear wrote:I'm sure it will have some extras that aren't on the box set..![]()

I'm slightly torn. I already own the Ultimate Toy Box (which is excellent in every way possible), but having new features (and a new transfer) is enticing to me. Plus, having Toy Story in its own 2-disc set would better match my other Pixar DVD's on the shelf than my Ultimate Toy Box currently is. Either way, this is great news for those who missed out on the Toy Box.
