But yea, when the SE comes out, head straight to rent it or wait for UD's review!
I found it to be a good movie...

I'm excited for this one too. I love both versions of the Parent Trap movies and I watch them over and over again.
Of course, I had just bought the 1st edition (lohan's) for $10 at Target and then found out the SE was coming out, luckily I haven't opened it yet so I can return it and get the the SE. Does anyone know what it's price might be?

Parent Trap, Special Edition
Is anybody here going to buy it?
I'm really considering it, I liked the movie, but I have it on video (I know, the old "I have it on video, so I'm going to let another Disney DVD pass by" theory that has never completely left...yet...I'm working on it)and I'm worried I'll grow out of it if I haven't already.
Especially since every time I think of that movie I think of everything I've read about Lindsay Lohan now...ugh!

If you do not own the Vault Disney version of the original buy that. A much superior movie with Haley Mills.

I have a taped version of the original, but I haven't seen it in years. I might have to watch it again and determine whether or not I like it.
I've read about how Lucille Ball's two children adored that movie after their parents split up, and had their mother watch it because they wanted Lucy and Desi to get back together.

Single disc actually. Merged this thread with the old discussion on it (which as usual, mostly pertains to the cover art.)chaychay102royal wrote:There is going to be a 2-disc special edition of the 1998 version, but my message about Lucille Ball's kids was when the Hayley Mills version was the only one around.

The original film is available as a 2-Disc Vault Disney Collection title. The remake is coming out as a single disc, Special "Double Trouble" Edition. Usually a SE from Disney means 2 discs, but they use the term loose enough to also mean 1 disc (The Parent Trap) or a special version of the film (Beauty and the Beast).
